This is probably the most famous observatory in the Osaka area, also being the tallest at over 300m. Very close to Tennouji station off the Osaka Loop line. Price of admission is a bit high at 1500 Yen(about $ 12.50). You can see very far into the distance. You almost think you can sneak a view of Nara over the mountains. Like the Umeda Floating Garden, this is a very popular tourist attraction so it gets very crowded, especially at night, when the views are unbelievable. There is even a heliport on the roof and you can schedule a helicopter tour of the area from here. The only negative thing I will say about this place is the food is whatever. Pricey and not good at all. Oh well. And watch out for all the tourists with those damn selfie sticks. If it weren’t for my cat-like reflexes, I would have been hit a few times. ;)

A beautiful look at the city of Osaka! Each side of the observatory is labeled with the compass direction, and the map they give you is super detailed and helpful. And if you stay in the hotel you get to go in at the crack of dawn at 7 am and watch the sunrise for free until 8:30 am… and yet they won’t serve their pineapple cocktails until 11. boo. :) MOSTOFALL you must go use the bathrooms, even just to wash your hands. It’s a beautiful reflective area and you get the same view!

I really enjoyed this place, but the day I went it was cloudy with kousa. So, I really couldn’t see too far off into the distance, but it was nice really cool to see a 360 view of the city at 300 m above ground. They had it all well thought out too. The interesting part is the outside area! You can enjoy the air at 300 m! We didn’t have time, but some people were just outside chillin’. I think the next time I go, I’d want to go on a clear sunny day.
