Taiseikaku

Delicious but slightly Japanized in a good way. Although I’ve been to China nearly 10 times, unfortunately I have yet to find a Chinese restaurant that was better than the ones I had in Japan. I personally prefer Japanized Chinese food more than the authentic ones so this is a great spot for me. I think this place caters towards private parties and weddings, so I wouldn’t recommend it if it’s a small group of 4 or less. We were about 12 people and we got a private room with a big round table where food is served family style. Since my relative paid for it, I have no idea how expensive it is but I’m sure it was pricey. My recommendation is their famous Peking Duck, so good!

The place looks like a Chinese at an airport. It has plastic examples of their food outside, which normally scares me off enough not to go, but because we were hungry and it had good reviews on Unilocal,I made an exception.
The dumplings were pretty nice and reasonably priced.
The Beijing duck was nice (as always) but the portion was very very very insufficient. Too bad because we waited half a hour for it and payed relatively much.
