Sushi Bar within walking distance to Kuromon Ichiba Market and Namba in Osaka. Not very big, but apart from counter seats, they also have a couple of tables near the kitchen. We were lucky to get a table, and a very concise English menu that mostly lists the sets available. Quite reasonable pricing for the sets, 12 pcs with miso soup at ¥1050, and the grilled sushi set, 8 pcs with miso soup at ¥1000. The Japanese menu has more items, and probably seasonal items too. We liked the grilled sushi set for the slight smokiness, charred taste to the rice too. The sushi set boasts super fresh ingredients as well considering the market is just around the corner. Enjoyable lunch among the locals.

Sushi place for everybody in this neighborhood If you are looking for good experience with Sushi, I recommend you to begin with lunch, so that you can find many places that offer good one. I can’t say this place is very clean but it’s been very long since they started, and many people in this neighborhood and people traveling in Osaka come here to eat Sushi. 12 pieces of standard quality sushi with miso soup costs only ¥750. How does that sound for you? Good deal isn’t it? And people come here understands lunch time is busy, so you don’t need to wait so long even if you are on the line. People leave very quickly. Counter sushi bar at night is also good but you need to care about your budget, but if you do, you’ll get very cozy environment with awesome sushi. This one isn’t like that, but you can get much better sushi than conveyor belt one. Feeling how busy they are and you start to think it’s time to leave for people that are waiting for coming in. I think this is very typical manner of having lunch when crowded. All sushi that I ate were fine and fun part was that you use brush to put soy sauce on sushi, not using small plate to dip in. Hope this will be on your list for your sushi exploration.
