I’m so confused… the name is for the airport, but the reviews are mostly for a ramen shop in the airport… what the. what? Airport itself… probably 5 star. It’s a nice airport, but it’s also a big airport. If you’re landing from or flying an international flight and need to make a connection, give yourself at least 45 minutes(because you have to bus shuttle to another terminal, and get through passport control, and then dash to gate). Probably, you won’t need all 45 of those minutes… My only knock against the airport is the limited food options… which brings me to the ramen shop, which is what mostly everyone has reviewed this entry for the airport as. I’d give that probably a 3 star. It’s OK… it’s nothing I’d write home about(and in case you are wondering, I think my friends and family are a little tired of me telling them about ramen shops everytime I do find one that I like anywhere in the world =) .The noodles are thick(which I don’t mind), but they’re a little too soggy. The broth is dense too. It’s not the light kind, and it’s not the rich kind. Not sure how else to describe it. I had the tonkotsu ramen. There wasn’t that much meat in it(I know that’s how it’s supposed to be), but given how much noodle is in the large bowl, I thought they’d add a slice or two. Overall, it wasn’t bad or anything. It was OK ramen. But I remember flying out of Narita and thinking as I ate a bowl or ramen«best ramen ever» and that’s what I was comparing this to. The ramen at Narita probably wasn’t «best ever», but at least I thought that, and for one fleeting moment at Haneda, that’s what I wanted – to think(even if I was crazy and wrong) that I was eating the best ever. I had no problems with the service(there really is nothing to it, it’s a stand. You order, you pay, you get a buzzer, and then you wait for your food). I’m not even sure how any other reviewers could have ordered and gotten the wrong order or gotten their order incorrect. It’s not even a very long menu and you get your receipt after you place an order. Doesn’t it say what you ordered and paid for? I don’t know Japanese, I’m just assuming that’s how it works. Of course, I didn’t bother to learn any Japanese, so I would assume if a mistake was made, it was because I didn’t bother to learn Japanese and spoke the language there(kind of like if someone came to America, we’d have a hard time and would probably make a mistake interpretting what they wanted because we don’t speak their language)…I think it’s a little unfair to review down a place for bad service because we couldn’t express properly what we wanted to them in their native tongue.

A long line of mostly Japanese-looking people snaked its way out from the entrance at 9am so I figured this place must be good and it did not disappoint(keep in mind, this is at the airport)! It was definitely the bowl of ramen I have had in recent memory, whether assessed on broth, ramen texture, pork, or egg. Don’t be intimidated by the line – the table turnovers are super fast as most people are trying to catch a flight and the staff is very efficient. They also have a system where you order from and pay a machine while you are in line so your food arrives shortly after you get seated. The machine is in Japanese but there are pictures and friendly people in line to help you out with ordering. It’s pretty crazy that none of the dozens of San Francisco and New York ramen places can compare to even airport ramen in Tokyo!

The best airport I have ever been to! It is sooooo clean and there are so many places to eat! We had a layover here when going to the Philippines and I wish my layover was even longer. I’m not sure which Terminal we were at, but they had a little walkway with lots of different restaurants, stores, and even a place outside where you can stargaze. I was definitely entertained for 5 hours. Also, a huge plus: the bathrooms are so clean!!! They also have standing toilets and every toilet has a bidet. Definitely not something you see everyday in California, but I sure wish we did! I’ll see you again soon Haneda!

This airport does not have a 7-Eleven or any type of convenience store. I was totally shocked. And I really wanted to eat good food before I got on the plane. However I also do not want to pay an arm and a leg for food. So this was the cheapest place and actually a really good option. The Ramen was really good and at a good price. There was hardly any mark up at all for it being in an airport. I really love the seating area too. This is one of the places that’s open pretty late. Such a lifesaver. The service was quick and it was easy to order even if you didn’t speak Japanese. I do but still.

Really bad ramen tasted like dish water Horrible rude service Recieved pork and rice instead of ramen since server mixed my coupon Go to ichiranramen This is hands down the best and you have a portion of the ticket so there are no errors :)
