(4.5÷5 stars) Unilocal 100 Challenge 2015 — 79⁄100; Countdown to 200 — 4⁄10 Looking for a place in central Tokyo to chill, have a healthy meal, enjoy a premium cigar, stop in for a quickie while out walking your dog? Eco Farm Café 632 located one block off the main streets in central Harajuku. Yup and it’s a secret… OK, was a secret. I’ve been frequenting this terrace café for years and have seen the place evolve with the changing times. The owner, who has similarly themed restaurants in other locations, has strived to provide dishes with an emphasis on healthy, wholesome and natural organic ingredients wherever possible. A few years ago, a large coffee roaster was installed in the back corner near the kitchen where, you guessed it, they roast their own organically grown beans. Back to this in a minute. Highlights: + Amenities: 4.5÷5(open central courtyard — smoking allowed, summer BBQs, pets on leashes OK; cigar bar on 2nd floor alcove; event space on 3rd floor — reservations accepted) + Menu: 4.5÷5(organic, fresh, seasonal foods featured; great, healthy and reasonably priced lunch sets; good desserts; specialty coffee roasted on site; happy hour) + Atmosphere: 4⁄5(bright, high ceilings, smoking/non-smoking, modern European in feel) + Service: 4⁄5(standard(3 stars) if you’re not a regular; 4+ if you’re a regular and know individual staff(and they know you)) + Access: 4⁄5(very close to exits of the Fukutoshin and Chiyoda lines, but hidden one block off the intersection of Meiji Dōri and Omotesando Dōri) + Other features: 4.5÷5(fresh baked goods, fresh organic veggies for sale, coffee roasted on site, event space for rent, features honey and maple syrup products in direct collaboration with a farm in Canada — honey/syrup also available for purchase) Back to coffee, during the hotter months, I recommended their iced coffee(not the ice coffee offered with meal sets). They do it right with cold dripped coffee in ice cubes also made of coffee. This allows you to enjoy the same robust coffee flavor even as the ice melts. Other places will use ice made of water resulting in a diluted, watery drink half way through; not so here. Late spring and early fall months are great for enjoying the terrace seating. Food always tastes better outside, and if you’re lucky, you can get in on the BBQ specials that are sometimes featured. Finally, despite being so close to center of commotion that is Harajuku, the setting here will transport you to another world, even if it is just while you enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee. P. S. Did I mention a cigar bar? Feel free to ask the staff about this when you enter. If you’re an aficionado, you’ll enjoy the relaxing sofa and alcove-like seating area that overlooks the terrace and other spaces.

This café is wide. There is also a non smoking seat, but half the smoking, the loft there is a cigar seats. You can smoke Cuban cigars that you bought in this café or brought. Cuisine is very abundant, and the taste is so-so… But coffee is pretty delicious. You can also be drinking. Since the lunch set with drink is a 1200 yen, as the café that you can smoke cigar, it’s very reasonably priced.
