Ikinari steak

This is a newly-​opened, standing-​style steak restaurant run by the same company that runs Pepper Lunch which has a number of branches outside Japan. The difference between Pepper Lunch and this new place is that this one tries to serve authentic, really meaty steaks at very reasonable prices. Well, actually, you’ll see how reasonable their steaks are considering how much per gram.
When it comes to the quality, it’s surely not as good as high-​end Yakiniku places in Tokyo, but if you compare to places like Outback Steakhouse, they serve better quality steak at more reasonable prices. It would be a good place to go when you are visiting Tokyo missing western-​style chunky steak.

Excellent steak! The portions are generous too; if you order the lunch set (steak, soup, salad, and rice), you might not even be able to finish it… especially with the steaks being at 200+ grams.
My boyfriend got their assorted sliced steak for lunch, and I got the hamburger steak with lunch set A. The seasoning on the hamburger patty was perfect, with that distinct sweet yet savory flavoring that seems popular in Japan. The meat itself is delicious and high quality; thinking back, I’m craving it again. My boyfriend’s assorted sliced steak was delicious as well, but keep in mind you will get a few slices that are more tender than other parts in your dish. Again it is generous and tastes of high quality. The warm steak sauce you are given is yummy too, which is great since I accidentally doused part of my plate in it! You also get some loose kernel corn with both of these meals, and once my sizzling plate roasted it a little, it was amazingly sweet. Loved it! The salad and soup are okay and pale in comparison to the meat quality… but I was happy to have some vegetables to balance out all the steak.
The service is great as well. Staff is kind and easy to speak to, whether you know Japanese or only English. You get a paper bib before your food arrives, much appreciated since the sizzling plates may splatter a bit of grease. You also stand at a bar-​height counter (several in the restaurant), which I liked as well, given that the food is quite heavy.
