After exploring Shibuya and Shinjuku, we stopped here for a snack and to rest our poor, poor feet. What was great was that you can sit right by the window and get a beautiful view of the famous Shibuya Crosswalk. There’s just something so surreal about watching people cross this busy intersection! I had their croque monsieur and it was… disappointing. The bread was soggy, and it wasn’t anything special, especially for the price(but I’m sure I was also paying for the location and name of the café). My friend had the Strawberry Napoleon, I think, and it was also nothing special. She also had an iced coffee and wasn’t impressed. I would very much label this as one of those cafes that attract tourists to the Shibuya Crossing.

Had first meal in Tokyo here. Wanted good food, without a wait. I googled on trip bye-bye there in this led me to L’Ocitane café! We people watched, ate some food left totally happy! Ordered the crab salad set meal, and was surprised by how much came with the set; crab salad, bread, soup, and butter with an iced tea. The crab salad was good, with fresh crab meat(no, you don’t typically get fresh crab in a salad from a random café in New York City), so that was a pleasant surprise! I thought some of the vegetables and a salad were really out of place, like the broccoli, but it didn’t mess up the overall taste of the salad. It was just weird to eat it with broccoli! Lol! The side of soup was small I think it took me about four spoonfuls to finish it, but because the salad was actually plentiful then add the bread in my tummy, I was perfectly OK with that! I know tea is a thing everywhere outside of the US, but I don’t like tea! Lol! However I did have the tea with my mealand after adding a ton of sugar I was totally OK with it. What was delicious was the ginger tea drink that I ordered additionally. I go back for that!

L’Occitane Café had great food but a very limited amount of choices(which is okay for people who have a hard time choosing). I ordered the L’Occitane Sandwich which was basically prosciutto and arugula, and salmon with sour cream. It was really good and light which was perfect for lunch. Most important, the bread was actually very good and soft. This is a huge plus for me because I’m not a fan of the harder bread that is served at many lower end cafes :( The café itself is probably more there for the atmosphere than the food(that’s not to say the food isn’t good though!) it’s very cute and good for fans of the L’Occitane brand. The other plus of visiting this place is the view of Shibuya Pedestrian crossing is much better and easier to get to than the Tsutaya building Starbucks. You may have to pay more but I thought it was well worth the atmosphere! I went on a Friday afternoon and the second floor had only a few tables taken. The service was also decent, they refilled water with no problem and had very prompt delivery of food. It’s also easy to order here if you don’t speak Japanese, because the menu is pretty much in English and has pictures. If you don’t want to eat(the menu can get pricey) just having tea or a some sweets is more than enough to enjoy this cute café.

Whenever I come to Tokyo, I treat myself to a L’Occitane lunch with the mandatory rose sherbet for dessert. Despite its location, the view is quite disappointing, but the staff is attentive, friendly and the variety of the menu is impressive.

Location: for tourist who wants to take pictures of Shibuya Scramble crossing is great. But you can’t feel relaxed nor loosen up in this place. The customers are mostly female, especially teenagers or college students. Taste: Not too bad though as JAPANESE restaurant or café, less than average. Not savory. The tea which I had was just colored warm water. Service: not too bad though as JAPANESE restaurant or café, just average. But I can tell you would feel nice service if you come from other country. Additional: Since I used L’Occitane online coupon, I could get that Crème Brûlée as free. Total price was ¥1,950–(including tax) If you love L’Occitane products, not too bad to visit here as experience rather than have a lunch or tea.

I have visited L’Occitane Café for lunch on a number of occasions. The food here is quite delicious. The menu is a bit lacking but the view of the scramble crossing makes up for it. I loved the croque monsieur! The best time to visit is anywhere between 10:00~14:00.

Who can say no to a little piece of France? Inspired by relaxing lifestyle of Provence, you’ll find L’Occitane Café with constant sunlight pouring in. I came here last time around noon during a weekend and had a lovely seafood and fruit salad then sipped tea as I gazed out onto Shibuya. The location is perfect when you want a photo of the scramble crossing of Shibuya. I can look out the window onto Shibuya for ages. It just never gets boring. After you get your shopping done at the store downstairs, you can go straight up to this café for a little rest and treat yourself to tea.
