If you are a fan of Max Brenner in the US this counter service variation on the theme will leave you sadly disappointed. The first time I came here, they had no savory offerings. This time they have a short version of the savory menu, but appear to be lacking many offerings in their claim to fame: chocolate. How many«sold out» stickers can you put on the menus before its time to just print a new(even if temporary) menu?

I went there with some friends and had a good time. The food is all based around chocolate, however there are some other salty sins like Mac’n’cheese on the menu, and there is even salads. Apparently this is only the case in the Hiroo branch. Specially the crépe with a caramelized top was to die for. Perfect for cheat meals and celebrations. :)

It was my first time trying Max Brenner and it was delicious! =) I have to confess we ordered quite a lot and I almost had a chocolate overdose! lol Besides all the calories I def. recommend it. Good quality chocolate and some other delicious dishes to calm down the sweetness like the saladas and fries. Make sure you go with lots of friends to share and try a bit of all.

Chocolate elixir to warm up on this cold winter day! My kids were in chocolate heaven. Adults enjoyed a cappuccino and macchiato. Triple Fondue was beautifully presented and came with brownies, marshmallows for roasting and fruit. Kids had the marshmallow hot chocolate as well. Friendly service, comfortable seating, English menus available. No lineup! We will definitely be back!

Compared to the Max Brenner at Omotesando, this place definitely has a much shorter waiting time. Honestly I think Max Brenner is pretty hyped up and overrated just cause its foreign and oshare. I’m pretty sure it’s just a typical phase that every Japanese goes through whenever a new restaurant/café/bakery is opened. The chocolate marshmallow pizza and chocolate fondue were mediocre at their best. Come here if you want to see what the hype is about, but you might be disappointed :/
