I went to the National Noh Theatre to see Theatre Project Si’s production of Hamlet. The theatre was a little hard to find but I luckily brought a map. I ended up taking the new Fukutoshin Line to Kita-Senju Station and walked from there. It was pretty close but the map was key. Upon finding it, everything was smooth and I entered and the theatre staff were helpful in helping me to find my seat. Inside, the stage was beautiful. I assume it’s a Noh stage. There were two parts to the stage, a main square part and a sort of hallway part. During the play, the actors used the stage fully. I could see perfectly and it seemed that everyone was able to see. The theatre isn’t massive so all the seats are pretty good. One thing that I noticed though was that the majority of the people were sitting in the most expensive seats but I was in the just one level down seats and it was much less crowded and there was practically no one sitting in front of me. I actually think I had a better seat and it was only 500 yen less.
