A friend living in Tokyo took us to Tachigui for frozen sake after dinner. Super tiny place that mostly standing room only, but really fun/dark/loud atmosphere with neat décor and space. I’ve never had or even heard of frozen sake before but it was pretty cool! We all chose our desired sake’s from the menu — but as most of us can’t read Japanese, we just chose whichever glass bottle design we liked haha The glasses small size drinking-type glasses with a tinfoil lid. The bartender took the cups and hit the top of the sake glasses(tinfoil side up) with the inside of his palm until the sake turned into slush! Magician. About half or more of the patrons in the bar were foreigners and the other half were Japanese girls that liked being hit on by the foreigners. We didn’t stay too long as, again, it was pretty much standing room only and was a pretty tight space. We each had one drink and left. Not bad as a stop-over or one or two drinks, but pretty small place if you’re planning for it to be your main destination. If you go, try and find the bathroom :)

Really dug this place. Came here multiple times during out trip to Tokyo. Great selection of sake. Awesome staff and atmosphere. They also have a good selection of Japanese whiskeys. 10⁄10 would come here everyday if I lived here.

We ventured to Buri on a Friday evening, and we had a blast at this great standing bar! They greeted us at the door and cleared a spot at the bar right away. Beer and Sake were delivered immediately, and N was treated to their famous«Frozen Sake»! It’s a cozy bar, but the staff works hard to make sure everyone has a spot at the bar and is having a good time. There are dozens of sake options, and even a nice snack menu where you can get meat skewers and other bar food items. We were lucky enough to be moved over to a table against the window, so we hung out for a few hours, chatting with each other and eventually with a few of the regulars. The music was great and the crowd very friendly, and we definitely recommend a stop while in Ebisu!

Great bar in ebisu. Get some sake(served frozen) and the grilled bacon wrapped asparagus and/or tomato. They also have amazing grilled chicken hearts(hatsu) of you’re into that. One thing though, there is no a/c and the place is like a 1000 degrees, but it’s worth it.

A nice little stand up bar and restaurant located near the Ebisu station. You’ll be able to order just about any alcohol you would like. They have a wide variety of sake that you can order from. Order the frozen ones! The bar tender will bring the liquid sake in a jar and smack the top to turn it into a slushee!
