What a great bar concept: cocktails named after movie titles! Part of the fun was having someone read the Japanese menu, then trying to decipher the movie. Was«bird flies from cage» One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest or La Cage Aux Folles? Really doesn’t matter… the drinks were tasty, and the experience lots of fun! Drinks are categorized many ways: by alcohol(rum, vodka, whiskey, etc.) and by movie type(action, comedy, etc). Action movie drinks pack more of a punch(so to speak) while a comedy would be lighter on the alcohol. The dramas are frothy and fruity. Bring someone to help with the Japanese menu, or just point and choose — you can’t go wrong. In fact, we were told to just say the name of a movie and they would make the appropriate drink for you. Now THAT’S entertainment!

I really wanted to have some drinks here because the drinks look awesome from the pictures. I’m not sure what else I can rate this place since I wasn’t even given the opportunity to go in. Although they are very busy, they are very clear when you enter: 500 yen cover charge, no English menu. I still tried to order based on one of the pictures in Unilocal but they wouldn’t even serve me because I don’t speak Japanese. I know some places in Japan are for locals only but that’s too bad because I think I would have really enjoyed it! If you don’t speak Japanese, go to the place next door. They’ll be happy to serve you!
