Pros: — next to higashi shinjuku station — staff were friendly and spoke English — free luggage storage — when we booked our trip, it was cheap compared to the other hotels that we were looking at — tully’s coffee and Lawson’s downstairs Cons: — super tiny rooms — even tinier bathrooms — non-smoking room smelled like smoke so we had to open the window to air it out We were only there to sleep so it wasn’t a deal breaker. Would I stay here again, yes.

The cigarette smoke is embedded into the smoke-permitting rooms, so much so that you if you rolled up a curtain and lit the end, you could taste the legacy left behind by each and every previous tenant from a single hit. Avoid these at all costs(in my case, an extra 1000 yen/day). The non-smoking rooms, on the other hand, are liveable. You have your toiletries, a mini fridge, and a small TV. The ceiling in the bathroom is low enough for anyone above 6ft to have to crouch. Pricing is similar to other budget hotels in the area. Breakfast includes a 100 yen discount at a neighboring café. If you’re arriving via the Higashi Shinjuku train station, best to get off the«A1» exit as it will leave you within a few feet from the entrance of the hotel.

VERY small rooms even for somebody small like me. But the room is clean and service is good. Also, it is close to the subway station which is the most important thing to me when looking for a hotel.

This hotel sit right next to higashi Shinjuku metro and Tully’s coffee shop. Don’t let google maps trick you into thinking it’s on Meiji Dori, it’s just off it next to Tully’s. Our room was teeny tiny and also a bargain. Not enough space for two suitcases to open but great for just a clean place to crash. The service was good and everything looked new and clean. Just cramped. The location is great and only a 10 min walk until you are in the hub of everything. Like you’d be spending much time in your hotel room if you’re in Japan anyways… The Korean place 2 doors down with the yellow signs is also delish and it’s super handy to have maccas and Lawsons closeby. We stayed on the 4th floor and heard the emergency sirens every morning and night so if you’re a light sleeper. Might be hard for you. Would definitely come back here for the price and location.

This is a great hotel which is close to the train station. We were able to go to Harajuku takeshita st using the subway. The room and bathroom was small but it was fine for my 16 year old daughter and I since we were there just to sleep. It was easy taking the subway and the hotel staff was friendly and speak english. The siren of the passing emergency vehicles didnt bother us and wasnt as loud as some reviews mentioned. We stayed on the 6th floor which was smoking room but I didnt smoke and no smell of smoke on our floor either.
