This place has my vote! Noodles are cooked perfectly and a great texture! Really delicious and low key, a perfect meal for when you are in the area. We ordered two bowls of tonkotsu with egg, which were delicious! The way part is that their broth is not too salty, which is the only reason why I normally am not a ramen fan. Throw down as much nori into your ramen as you want, and wash down with some Japanese barley tea.

We stumbled across this place in a street of small restaurants in Shinjuku. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen(pork-based broth) w/egg. The egg was fantastic(as it usually is in Japan, USA needs to up their egg game). Unfortunately, though the meat was cooked well, there wasn’t a lot of it, so you if you’re into that meat life, you should probably add additional meat topping. Also, the broth was on the saltier side… Note: They do have an English menu now!

From the moment you sit down at the counter, you know this place is gonna serve up something delicious. The patrons sitting around me are slurping and ahhhhing like it’s nobody’s business. Menu is rather simple. Nothing is in English so use that appendage at the end of your hand to indicate to the cook what you want. The noodle and broth were hot & delicious. The gyozas were served with this nicely browned flour overflow. Unlimited garlic cloves, pickled ginger and nori to compliment the bowl of noodles.

This place is solid. The ramen is good but the tsukemen is awesome! It’s tiny and they don’t have a lot in the way for English, but the quality of the food makes up for it. The gyoza is pretty damn good too. I just wish that their beers were a little larger for the price. It is also right by the Shinjuku Wald 9 theatre so it’s a great place to grave a quick bite if you’re going to the moves afterwards. They also offer seasonal versions of their ramen.
