Like the other reviewers said this place serves seriously delicious ramen, unlike any I’ve ever had, and is hard to find. It’s in an ally way across from the North most exit from the Takadanobaba station, between the two rail lines. For you see like 100 bikes parked on the left and tiny bars on the right, you are in the right place. Hit the adult DVD store and you’ve gone too far. You should totally go here if you can. A couple notes, it’s just a counter with maybe 20 seats with hungry business men slurping and checking phones. Don’t be intimidated. You also buy your food and beer at a machine at the entrance, then hand the ticket to the cooks. I picked the big middle button which was pork and egg. We got cold ramen, like everyone. I’m not sure if it’s seasonal, or if this is a cold ramen place. They ask what size, medium is plenty.

A great example of a great bowl of tsukemen. Soup: Thick with plenty of yuzu pork flavors. The chashu is soft and amazing. Egg perfectly cooked. Noodle: Al dente yum. Medium bowl is plenty filling.

Hands down the best bowl of Ramen I had while in Tokyo. This is a must-go place if you go to Japan. What we loved about it: –The atmostphere was small, quaint, and a nice mix of 2 parts traditional to 1 part modern. The workers were helpful, fun, and kept you intrigued while cooking the Ramen(lots of «kiais» and smooth cooking moves) — Ramen was absolutely phenomenal. I had the pork bowl. The pork had a fantastic flavor, broth was so savory and didn’t kill you with salt, and it came with a perfectly cooked boiled egg and an array of vegetables. — Price was shockingly low for the quality of food. My ramen was either 900 or 1000 yen, about $ 10. It could of been 2000 yen and i would of gladly paid that price. — It’s not too far from all the Shinjuku craziness(aka the supposed«red-light district»), and relatively close to the JR station. Funny story, we got lost trying to find this place, we had our map on our ipad and that’s it. We were hopeless, and finally asked some guy in slippers standing outside his apartment for directions. Not only did he tell us where it is, without asking, he walked us all the way to the restaurant, pointed at it, and walked away as he waved us off. So, if you happen to get lost, DOBEAFRAIDTOASKFORDIRECTIONS.
