Absolutely delicious! Grilled in front of you with a smile to go along. Unagi in its full glory! Love it!

When the term from the rooter to the tooter is used, it can also be applied to this spot in a similar way. The only thing served here is Unagi. Unagi in all its glory, every part is skewer from the back-fin, meat, skin etc. Be prepared, the menu is all in Japanese but the wait staff and chef speak enough English to help non-speaking Ex-pats like myself order. My wife and I ordered the Unagi over rice, large plate is 3,600 yen and medium being 2,400 yen. The chef grills dinner right in front of the diners. But along with the meal, it’s similar to how the Koreans serve Banchan. We were served pickled vegetables along with other parts of the eel like fried eel bones, eel liver soup, and tofu dishes. I’m not a big fan of Banchan either so I felt similar about these side dishes. The main dish however was excellent. Service was top notch as I’m finding is standard so far in Japan. The Chef had good conversation like a cool bartender, despite the slight language barrier between us. Very nice experience trying different parts of the eel and the pleasant atmosphere.
