Cute little place we found off a busy shopping area in Shinjuku. We were craving some ramen and this was just the place. Inexpensive but delicious. The fried chicken on top was fabulous as well. Service was prompt and friendly.

This place was just what I was looking for after a busy morning of trawling the camera stores of Shinjuku. The Koyo Ramen(fried chicken) drew me into this tiny restaurant. They have an English menu and a selection of dishes but I had that fried chicken ramen bowl on my mind so that’s what I got. The restaurant is downstairs and consists of booths and bar seating around the kitchen, which you can look into. The atmosphere is quite peaceful and you could see that people were relaxing after a hard morning’s slog. The food was delicious: a large steaming bowl of soup with noodles and a fried chicken breast cut into strips, some vegetables and that was pretty much it. I was hungry and finished the whole thing. Several hours later, I am still full. It came to just under 1000 yen, which seems like decent value.
