I wish I could give Suzukake 6 stars! If you havent tried suzukake strawberry daifuku yet, then you really have to give it a try! My family are big big fans, especially my kids; actually every year when winter strawberry daifuku season comes, we always have a blind taste testing game at home — no matter how many kinds and brands of strawberry daifuku we taste, suzukake always wins out! I think one of the big reason is suzukake(from kyushu fukuoka) strawberry daifuku only use big, fresh, and ripe kyushu brand«amaou» strawberries which is famous for their sweetness. And Suzukake strawberry daifuku is generally smaller than other brands’, that makes it 80% of the daifuku strawberry. It’s just like tasting fresh fruits. So even if you are not a fan of sweets, you may probably love it too. The rest of 20% part is thin mochi rice cake peel and red bean curd, perfectly balanced with the sweet and sour fresh strawberry. The only thing is the expiration date is one day only, since fresh strawberries got rotten soon and fresh mochi rice cake got hard soon too. And in Tokyo, they only have one shop in Shinjuku Isetan Department store. I wish they will have more shops in Tokyo.
