Forewarning: This is a review from an American tourist perspective. A very nice, modern hotel in Asakusa, which is really close to the train station and steps away from one of the best and most popular tourist attractions in Tokyo, Senso-Ji temple. This has so many gorgeous sites including a shrine, gardens and hectic marketplace. If you’re planning stuff to do the in the area besides this, Akihabara animé district aka«electric town» is nearby. The rooms are a good size and comfortable, with great attention to detail. The only thing I didn’t like was the shower being in a separate room next to the tub. I would rather just shower in the tub or in a stall. Also, we did not care for the breakfast at the hotel restaurant. They have a buffet of salad and pasta(not really breakfast for American standards) plus a selection of 1 of the following 3 options: scrambled eggs, french toast or eggs benedict. My friend and I didn’t like any of it, and didn’t eat there the second morning. Also, the only English station on the TV is CNN, so be prepared, so American visitors beware. The best part of the stay was the excellent service. They really make you feel welcome. I also loved the convenient location and the beautiful view from the lobby.
