Clean. Friendly. Always here to help. They provide shampoo, body wash, tooth paste, q tips… Tea and hot water available downstairs always.

Kimi Ryokan had great reviews over TripAdvisor for being a nice place to stay that is reasonably priced and foreigner friendly, so my boyfriend and I decided to stay here while we were in Tokyo. We were able to take the Limousine Bus to Ikebukuro from Narita International Airport, and the ryokan was only a short 15 minute walk away. The front desk staff was very nice and spoke good English. Our room was on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. They supplied a robe and towels, as well as free shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom. We had really good WiFi connections throughout the ryokan. Downstairs in the lounge, there is a small bulletin board for long term travelers who may be looking for jobs as English language teachers as well as a small television, kitchen, and a beer vending machine. The area surrounding the ryokan is extremely convenient as it is a short walk to the JR station as well as many convenience stores and ramen restaurants to eat at. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

I was recommended by a friend to this ryokan, and this is my second time using it during my stay in Tokyo. It’s conveniently located near Ikebukuro station. All of the staff speak English, and are incredibly helpful. It’s a good way to have a traditional Japanese experience while still having help. Their prices are reasonable, and their ammenities are far more than expected.
