Surprised there aren’t many reviews for this FANTASTIC vegan restaurant! The absolute best meal we had in Tokyo. One of two locations(the other in Shinjuku), this location we ate at twice(ok no lie we ate at the Shinjuku location twice, too). Once for lunch and once for dinner. Lunch was just divine — the reason being, their iconic pancakes. How is it that the best pancakes I had in the entire world and in my life, thus far, are vegan and in Japan? There is something decadent about the pancakes here — two medium, fluffy, slightly crispy and buttery pancakes covered in vegan whipped cream, ice cream and fruits and nuts. If you are vegan in Japan, do not miss these. Do not! Dinner was even better. We came back that evening after being in the area all day and had a myriad of impressive vegan foods — vegan omelette, lasagna, carbonara, a brownie dessert and the best tiramisu. It was a pleasant and surprising vegan Italian meal at a very creative restaurant. The vibe here is so great too — cozy, rustic, kind of like a vintagey-antique theme. I highly recommend this place. It’s very affordable and the quality of food is unreal.

If Japan has a drawback is how very few meals, forget restaurants, it has for vegetarian people. So, it’s always a pleasure to find a fully vegetarian restaurant like Ain-Soph. That said, the restaurant’s food was excellent, the place itself well styled, and while the variety for lunches wasn’t huge, it gave reason to come back to it — 5 – 6 different meal options when we visited. The food tasted great and we will definitely come back!
