An Irish pub is definitely on the top of my list of «Places I’d Never See Myself in Japan». One of the most random nights in Tokyo, ever. Our buddy Hiroshi played guitar for their live band. Long story short, the night ended in some raucous Irish dancing. Fun to be had by all.

I’m not usually a fan of Irish pubs anywhere outside of Dublin, but when you’ve been in Japan for several weeks and have a craving for some familiar food, this is a good place to come. The food selection is exactly as you would expect for pub fare — fish & chips, full Irish breakfast, colcannon(mashed potato, cabbage, onion and bacon) and such like. Just what you want to remind you of home. As you would expect, the beer includes the black stuff as well as Kilkenny on tap, and there’s a goodly selection of Irish whiskies too. My favourite memory of this pub was sitting with a pint of Guinness and listening to a BBC Radio 2(they play Radio 2 over the interweb) traffic report talking about tailbacks on the M8 in Glasgow. How we laughed!
