The place is inside the landmark plaza and Royal Park Hotel. on the first floor across from the Nippon Maru museum. GPS got a little lost. Great place when you want a nice cup of drip coffee, excellent eggs Benedict or pancakes. A real American breakfast with everything in English as well as Japanese. The staff are great and speak good English. A real home feel for Americans looking for a reminder of home. I love to eat local but breakfast is the one thing I miss abroad. This hits the mark!

You can’t find pie this good anywhere else in Japan. A real treat for those with a sweet tooth. The burgers are great too, but who are we kidding, we’re here for the pie.

I went to Bubby’s probably about a half dozen times over the course of a year. Let me start out with a caveat: from an American perspective, Bubby’s feels weird. I know the original Bubby’s is in soho in Manhattan, and I don’t know if this Bubby’s looks the same as the original, but the Yokohama Bubby’s has some strange, quasi-racist art that it seems is intended to look like it’s a collection of random paintings, but is clearly all from the same«artist». Additionally, the food does take a long time to come out. I generally budget about a half hour from when I order the food to when I get it, though sometimes its quicker. And, the portion sizes feel a bit small considering the price and the fact that it supposed to be an «American» diner. All that aside, I found Bubby’s quite comforting during my year abroad. During the long wait for food, if you get there during happy hour, which I’m pretty sure runs from 5 – 7, you can enjoy a fairly large glass of wine for 4 or 5 bucks, i forget which. Sometimes you just need a good, American style burger, and Bubby’s can make that happen for you. Whenever I went it was with the knowledge that the whole meal would take about an hour. I would recommend others walk in with the same expectation. P. s., Pie good, nachos not worth it.

Great pies but unless you like overpriced meals, as well as poor, slow service probably best if avoided. A shame because a couple years back, the food and service and value were all acceptable. It has gone downhill in the past year or so. パイは美味しいけど、食事のコスパとサービスはいまいち。前はもっと良かったのに、最近オススメできない。 Details — — — — — Value: 2⁄5 Menu/selection: 3⁄5 Quality: 3.5÷5 Service/staff: 2⁄5 Ambiance: 3⁄5 I’ve been here a few times in the past year and have noticed a steady decline in service as well as the portion sizes, while prices offered on the menu seem to go up. For example their«Lunch Menu» consists mainly of things around 1500 yen, when usually lunch specials are around 1000 yen. That’s certainly no special«lunch» pricing, considering the portions for everything I’ve seen seem to be mediocre, at best. Although it still seems to be busy at peak lunch hours(I guess most places in the area would be), I don’t know how they stay in business with their overly high prices and poor service. Though wait staff hasn’t really been on the ball the past few visits, this last trip was pretty bad. On my visit today, my co-worker and I noticed that everyone who had come in after us, had already been served their meals. Our food appeared only shortly after we mentioned that to one of the wait staff, and during the course of our meal not once did they come to refill our drinks, which is kind of surprising that by the time we were halfway through our meals, the place was only a quarter full and not busy at all. The staff seemed busier talking to each other than keeping an eye on the diners. In any case, I am pretty sure I probably won’t be coming back again anytime soon. Their pies are tasty for sure and if that were all I’d rate them on, they’d get a 4/5, but considering almost everything has been falling this past year, especially service-wise, it’d be difficult for me to give them a 3 again. A shame, since better service and better portions or a fairer price would certainly bring them up to 4 stars.

Bubby’s is good as long as you’re not expecting an American breakfast. All of their food is delicious, but I was hoping to be able to order a side of like bacon or sausage or hashed browns. Unfortunately, their sausage wasn’t the breakfast sausage that I’m used to. On a lighter note, they have amazing eggs benedict and amazing mixed drinks :)

Nice place, but average food. We ordered a nacho, chili cheese burger and fried chicken and waffle. Nacho — no chili on it, the cheese are melted in the chips and not on other toppings, there’s only some sour cream and avocado. Chili cheese burger — the bun and patty is tasty, the fries has no taste. Fried chicken and waffle — the chicken is too salty, can’t finish the whole thing cause so salty. The waffle is good by itself. Probably wouldn’t go back again.
