Found this izakaya after a fellow Unilocaler recently posted pictures of the chicken wings. This is a chain based out of Nagoya. We were glad to find a branch in Yokohama. I really liked the menu(everything is in Japanese and English), all of the dishes sound/look appealing and have unique flavors. Prices are very reasonable and for beer they have a local Japanese beer, again unique for a major franchise. The food we ordered was good, two types of tebasaki wings(signature dish of this chain), house special fried shrimp, cabbage with garlic and red miso(simple but tasty), bean sprouts, seasoned onion sprouts and on. All of the food was good and service was very quick. What I cannot get over is the ambiance, or the lack there of. I get it is a chain, but if felt like we were relaxing in a fast food restaurant… very bright not much music. If they changed the ambience I would bump this to four stars. Right now I am saying 3.5.
