Summary: The owner is extremely rude. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Cheap price. OK course. We booked our tee time for noon, and checked in at about 11:45am. At that time we were told by the receptionist that there was a children’s tournament and that she had forgotten about it the day before when we called to book our time. She told us we could go ahead and play, and the kids would go after us — I’m assuming that the children were meant to tee off earlier but because the lady had booked us so close to their tee time, they had been waiting for us to arrive. After myself and my golf partner used the washroom, paid,(she picked up her rental clubs), I went back to my car(just a few metres away) to pick up my clubs and put my wallet and some other things in my golf bag. An old man came out into the parking lot and started hollering at me «Are you going to play today or what… we’re waiting for you,(etc)…» My cell phone was in my hand so I saw that it was 11:57am, and hollered back to the man that my tee time is 12pm, and that it’s not my fault no one told us there was a tournament that day. I’d like to add that I was not«taking my time», I was trying to get out on the green as quickly as I could — and I was at the 1st hole LITERALLY at noon. Once I was ready, I walked up to the man who was now standing with the group of children near the 1st hole. I asked him very calmly(but visibly irritated) if we were going to have a problem. The man responded exasperatedly that they were doing us a favour by letting us go first(at the time we were booked? Oh, how generous!) and that everyone was waiting for us. I repeated that I wasn’t aware there was a tournament, and that it was 12pm right now, which is the time we were booked for. It occurred to me that he may not even work there as he was wearing a normal golf shirt(no company logo or anything like that)…so I asked him if he works there to which he responded«I OWNTHIS…(looks at children)…PLACE!» So, if the children were not there this guy would have probably cursed at me. This made me angry and I suggested that I get my money back and leave this place and never come back, to which he said, «Fine I’ll give you your money back!» I had left work early to play golf and I was already there and ready to go, so decided to just turn my back on him and proceeded to get ready to tee off. A senior staff member came up to us just before the first shot and was very apologetic and assured us that we didn’t do anything wrong, and it was their fault for booking us at that time. We were grateful that he understood our frustration with the situation and played on without further incident. Basically, go at your own risk. The owner is not a nice or reasonable guy and can easily ruin your game, and frighten your children. I definitely won’t be going back — not if it puts money in his pocket!

Rating des Ortes: 3 Toronto, Canada
It’s a perfect pitch and putt for beginner golfers and kids or those working on their short game. The average golfer can work the course with a 9 iron as your longest club. I think every time I’ve been here I’ve seen at least one family out on the course. The facility has a driving range surrounded by the rest of the course. For $ 14, it’s practically the price of a bucket of balls in Toronto. And if you’re a new golfer with access to a car and tired of hitting at a range, I’d recommend taking a drive to start your golf journey here. It’s shorter and a bit easier than Dentonia in Toronto.
