Payless Shoe Source

This Payless is located in the Walmart Plaza, tucked in behind the Tim Hortons. It’s easy to miss if you’re driving by, most people forget its even there!
I can’t begin to say how much I like this particular Payless location. I’ve been in this one many many times because it happens to be situated right in between me and my friend’s place and its a great meeting spot. The last time I was here, I was specifically looking for a purse that had been on their website a few weeks earlier, but had since disappeared when the purse went on sale. The downtown location was sold out and knowing it was a longshot, I decided to check this Payless to see what they had.
As with every time I’ve been here, I was greeted when I walked in the store and one of the employees made sure to tell me about their promos and asked if I was looking for something specific as I walked over to the purse section and surprise surprise, found the purse I was looking for! She then told me that they were having a promo on purses, buy one get the second one half price. Couldn’t pass up that deal! Most of the purses here were from last season but since I could care less, I ended up choosing another bag after debating with one of the employees about which one we liked better. She wasn’t pushy at all and I appreciated the feedback she gave me as it seemed honest and genuine.
When I went to the cash, the ladies asked if I had found everything I was looking for and when she went to ring up the bag I’d come in for, she turned to me and told me that while it was $ 13, she was going to lower the price to $ 10! Woo-​hoo extra savings :) The second bag was only $ 7 heavily marked down and I got that one for half price to boot!
Savings and deals aside, I definitely like shopping at this location. The two ladies who are often here on weekends seem to really like their jobs and it shows in the way they approach their customers. They’re very good at letting you know what’s on sale or if there’s something you can do to get an extra discount (once they had me send a text to a number and it sent back a Payless coupon, for free!) and they’re not pushy at all if you decide you don’t want something or aren’t interested. I’ll be back again and again to shop here!
