I used Rockbrune for another move. I had talked to a few people, and was really impressed with their offers, but ultimately settled on using a local mover to come out rather than a Toronto mover. In hindsight, that meant paying for an hour and a half of them in rush hour traffic, but still. For this move they supplied us with 20 huge boxes which we were able to pick up from their site before the move, and arrived with wardrobe boxes(complimentary, they reuse them) for our closets. We definitely needed more boxes and it was a holiday weekend so we ran into a little trouble there. The crew arrived exactly on schedule and were pretty quick at getting to work. I’d take a half-star off for the fact that they arrived without tools to take furniture apart, but I think that’s because in my initial discussion there wasn’t looking like a need for that. They were much better at getting stuff out than the crew that moved us in from another UVL company, which damaged walls and our bedframe(and didn’t tell us!). Their unloading when they got to Toronto(stuck in traffic on the way) was fast and efficient too. They were happy to drop a bedroom set I had sold off at an address on the way and were quick and courteous there too.

The staff at Rockbrune was, for the most part, attentive and professional. They’re a member of UVL(acting as an agency, not a sub contractor), so they’re skins in the game as it were. My move from Canada to the U.S. went very smoothly. Their delivery was within the stated time window. Be prepared to pay a few hundred dollars over the estimate, and remember that an estimate is… just an estimate! Also be sure to pack your miscellaneous larger items(E.g pillows) into boxes, or you’ll be stuck paying extra for a large box to dump it all in when the movers arrive. The moving crew in Canada was very professional, polite, and efficient. They were careful not to damage anything. On the U.S. side, they were a bit less excellent, but still good. Communication between the Rockbrune offices and the UVL driver could have been better. My advice to you is to ensure you get into direct contact with the truck driver, that way you don’t have to play telephone via the Rockbrune/UVL dispatchers. You will need to coordinate for pick up and delivery, so it’s best to sort this out early. Overall a good moving experience and I’d recommend Rockbrune!
