Bob’s Bar n’ Grill

This is our new favorite. We’re already planning on bringing more people back here. We are coming back to experience the patio. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in how could place be so big but look so small. We both felt the décor was warm, comfortable and inviting. I encouraged my husband to try the pork belly he is so glad he did. I had the Saturday special, prime rib, I was not overly impressed, my cut was dry and well done. I was surprised the waitress didn’t ask me how I like it that being said our waitress was awesome super friendly and attentive. We will be back.

Great food, well priced, awesome server (Angela). We had the smoked beef brisket, Mac and Cheese and Clubhouse for the four of us.
Fresh cut fries, the bread is baked on the premises. Turkey is cooked there as well. The Mac and Cheese was perfect. We were there for lunch and we will definitely be back.

$ 10 lunch, quick service. Tasty.

Ive only been here once and my experience was not good and I will never come back to this place.
When we got to Bob’s there were no other customers in the place so there were lots of empty tables and the table she put us was right by the door were the employees come in and out to the back, and on the wall was a huge cookoo clock that sticks so far out that if you sit beside it you are leaning so you don’t hit your head on the clock.
I ordered the mushroom burger with a pop. The pop was a cheap generic kind, which was so gross. My mushroom burger came and I had a bite of my burger and it was so gross, the mushrooms tasted like vinegar. So vinegary. Not to mention the meat was gross too. I couldn’t eat my burger.
What a waste of money and time. Will NOT be back.

I often order steak bite appetizers from various resturaunts and this was by far the most disappointing especially for the price @ $ 15 for the appy. I expected a bigger portion than most places that have them priced for roughly $ 10 – 12. I got served an EXTREMELY SMALL handful of steak chunks (5 @ MOST) that were overcooked and dry. The flavor was okay. But I don’t recommend ordering it. It’s totally not worth the money, I felt pretty ripped off and immediately regretted not ordering a burger or something than I would have got more bang for my buck.

Truly one of British Columbia’s hidden gems. Food is impeccable. Hard to find someone who cares more about his guests and their dining experience.
The pork belly and grilled Ceasar salad are highly recommended.

The food is hit & miss. I’ve had a really great but I’ve also had a really bad lunch. Décor is dated & worn out. They serve generic soft drinks… YUCK!

The 4 times I have been here have been very underwhelming. I’m sure drinks are good however I noted on one particular night that the prime rib dinners kept on being returned to the kitchen (was a little confused) until I tasted the gravy. I’m not kidding it tastes like curry. I mentioned this to friends of ours that frequent there (for drinking) and they both said don’t touch the gravy it tastes like curry. I love curry in my Indian food not in my gravy on my fries!

sorry this place just doesn’t make the grade. I live just down the road and am crossing this place off my list. We ordered 2 different burgers and asked the server if the cook would cut them in half as we like to share tastes. The server looked at me like I had 3 eyes and declined, seems its too much work. And she was rude in the process. So I requested a sharp knife to do it myself. Now for the food, dry, burnt and way too much bun for the amount of meat. We both had to ask for some mayo to put some moisture into the burger. They actually charge a premium price for that, it never should have left the kitchen. I showed the remains to a manager who acknowledged the fact and promptly removed 1 burger from the bill. I get a better burger at whitespot or carls junior or five guys, jeez even burgerking and no attitude from the servers. I cook a better burger at home, maybe I should give them my recipe. Sorry Bob not going to happen. Lots of eatery choices around to spend my money at.

My friends and I stopped at Bob’s after a bike race on the way back to the city. We were looking for a beer and a burger, and that’s what we found.
Bob’s has a big dining room with fun old-​timey music decorations and flatscreens playing whatever sports they can find. apparently there’s live music some nights, but we were there on a sunday afternoon, so no dice.
the service was very friendly, the beers were cold, and the burgers were warm, fresh and tasty. I’m not a ketchup guy on my fries, and the staff went out of their way to bring 2 kinds of mustard for me. The kitchen is a bit slow, so give yourself a bit longer than you expect.
Honest food and great service at a reasonable price. I will stop here again the next time i’m in Aldergrove.

The owners are very friendly, which makes eating there a nice experience. Has a good catfish dish, and they make the best fries in town. Ambiance could improve, but then again, it fits in with Aldergrove.

Cool location — and atmosphere was good,
Felt like more of a pub at dinning room prices,
It really felt like the attempt to create a dinning room environment and it hasn’t succeeded,
Otherwise the food — I had the top burger and it had great taste ! the fries were homemade and hot — highly recommended, my GF had Pasta Alfredo — it looked ok — but for the price very little meat — throw a full breast on there — it’s all about the food. She liked it but agreed about the «lack of», and extemely garlicy if you enjoy that.
Wait staff were good and very friendly.
A few more spots in the neighbourhood to try before heading back for me…

Had our Xmas party here tonight. Pretty good service and the food was excellent. Definitely coming back to try it again when I can.

We just moved to aldergrove yesterday and needed something for dinner other than fast food. So we tried Bobs. I fell in love with the food! I got a new York steak and it was cooked to perfection! My husband had the salmon with fruit salsa and said it was incredible! Will be eating there again very soon!

Great burgers, and amazing salad. Eaten here a few times and have been very satisfied every time. Recommended.

Horrible service and clearly under staffed. Our waitress Tammy chatted with her staff then her customers. Pass on this one!

There is nothing I love more than beer and burgers from a side of the road diner. I feel my most comfortable in these friendly, non-​pretentious areas of the world. I like the dark wood and the kitschy wall ornaments. It also does not hurt that their burgers come homemade, slightly charred on the outside and juicy inside, served up old school, with fries and bacon. Damn, it was good, really really good. And it was brought to our table, by a lovely good humored waitress called Dawna, with a w. So the next time you are on a small road trip out of the city looking for some good thrift stores (there is one across the street) and church sales, stop in at Bob’s for a burger.
