Two days out of three and I could still eat more! Friday night I picked up a rack from Uncle Sams. Best ever ribs! Then I came back on Sunday to try a different vendor. I went with Bone Daddy out of Fort Erie, in spite of my concern that they were not from ‘Bammy or New Mexico like some of the others. After all, what do Canucks know about southern style BBQ? Well, the Canucks have got game. I think the Bone Daddy’s were just a bit more tender, full if flavor with a great sauce. Anyone who has eaten ribs in Newmarket or Aurora needs to make it a mission to stand in line and try Ribfest offerings just once for reference. I mean it! I will continue to judge every rib joint against these pork vagabonds, and you should too!

Aurora Ribfest with only 5 ribbers and a small kid’s midway area is one of the smallest rib fest I have been to in the area. We arrived on the first day of the event and it was a little quiet. No lines for anything… and the vendors were all super friendly and full of energy! The beer garden was a little disappointing though offers only Molson and Cools Light… The good thing is you have to be 19 to be able to enter the event ground from 8 pm to closing. So if you are thinking of bring your kids for some late night fun, you might be deny entry! The parking lot closest to the event is small but there is ample parking at the Community Centre across the street.
