I am torn on this review, on the one hand, we managed to find perfect beach towels, for $ 19.99, in March in Alberta. That was a win. It also smelled quite lovely, which was nice, especially with all the people crammed in there. My problem lies with the BB&B layout. I get how they want you to run the gauntlet, to maximize the amount of stuff you have to see before making it to what you want, but they need to make the aisles bigger, especially when they let shopping carts attempt to navigate the maze. BB&B is like playing frogger, always jumping forward and back, forward and back, to avoid being smushed by other shoppers and carts. The stuff we were looking at was on the end of an aisle, aka in order to look at it, we had to block traffic, or be the frogs. When you’ve got a Sunday morning Mom with a cart looming down, you jump like you’re a frog and it’s a car! The cashier was pleasant and we found what we wanted, but I wouldn’t call the store a pleasant experience by any stretch.

Nestled in Crossiron Mills, the great ol’ homewares institution that is Bed, Bath and Beyoooonnnnndddd(echo echo echo) is nestled next to Outdoor World and a ton of chain stores of all sorts. Basically, just like every other BB&B, it’s bright, stocked to the gills and filled with virtually everything conceivable that is homewares, linen, kitchen gadgets and so much more. I really can’t comment too much on it, since it’s the same at every one no matter where you go across North America(though I’m still looking for Christopher Walken to give me a magic remote control just like in the movie Click). I like going here from time to time, mostly to see what other type of gadget and tool is there to be had for my use, whether it be making industrial amounts of french fries to being able to make foie gras, halibut and bacon ice cream with their nuclear powered ice cream maker and automated car engine tuner. As for what’s in the Beyooooonnndddd(echo echo echo), well, toys, discounted movies, candy and so on. While not exactly a great selection, the toys they do have are actually pretty tasteful and not the usual schlock stuff but something more high end(presently all kinds of Discovery Channel Kids science stuff, and I remember them selling kid versions of Night Vision goggles once or twice). Oh, and I do love the free demos of the coffee machines. While I own a Keurig myself, I find it so neat that I get ot have a ton of samples from the Nespresso and other machines, though they do get a little cross if you do try more than one… or six(sheepish look). Needless to say, I usually leave the BB&B pretty darn wired! Basically, this is a place I wouldn’t visit often, but would be a place I would go to if I was doing a house or wedding registry and such. And off course, to go banshee on coffee. :)
