They tried to steal my money on my credit card by putting unauthorized charges through. I had to call Toronto Police to file a preliminary complaint so that the credit card company would investigate them. I threatened to go back to Barrie to file an official complain so that Barrie Police would investigate them as well. Toronto Police explained to me, I wasn’t liable for anything did & it’s considered theft. Until then, they reversed the charges. They were even rude enough to accuse me a whole bunch of unfounded facts which I am warning here now, I will sue them for defamation. When I threatened to sue them, they simply blocked my email address from sending them any email. Finally, police, credit card companies all had to investigate them before they rectified their acts. I even asked to speak to their lawyers if they accused me of causing any damage to the property that I am liable for, legally. Suddenly, their lawyer(the owner claimed to be his brother) disappeared. Clearly, he acted out of greed. No lawyer would advise them to conduct«theft» on someone’s credit card. He even gave my employer hard time to try to resolve issues. He took my credit card as hostage to try to take money from my employer. This owner is very dishonest & untrusthworthy. DONOT trust him with your personal property at all. Yes, I will sue them for defamation if they didn’t know how to gather their acts together.

The hotel is tidy and the beds are comfortable. We stayed there as a team and found the hotel isn’t well equipped for a team stay. The pool is tiny and the parking is brutal. It shares lots with a restaurant and coming in around a dinner time makes it impossible to find a spot near the hotel. Had to park in the next plaza over,(luckily it is the LCBO). The breakfast is a nice touch on your way out in the morning. I did pay extra for a family suit and would not recommend. A normal 2 bed room has as much room as the family one and the video game unit didn’t work.

I spent the last two nights at the Super 8 Barrie. I stayed here last year and like it. Cherie checked me in and she was really friendly. I got a jacuzzi room … just an extra $ 10! The bed was comfy and I slept well. There was a mini fridge and microwave oven in my room. Parking was free as is WIFI(it’s fast). There was a complimentary continental breakfast with hot options. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are lots of choices within walking distance(like Jack Astor’s across the street and East Side Mario’s next door). I’d stay here again!
