Service was great as usual! I decided to revisit the burger I ordered last time. Really nothing special or any significant changes in flavour. Unfortunately this time biting into the burger my bun was very soggy from the burger juice. The fries where oily and cold. The prices are a bit pricey for the type of food served. Still a place to visit in Barrie, would highly suggest visiting when entertainment is around.

The Reuben. Could very well be the best thing I have ever eaten. Absolutely incredible. Bravo.

The food was fantastic. Had the sausage and pretzel platter and the curry poutine. It was great!

Just OK, nothing special or particularly gastronomic. Pleasant and attentive service. Small, place and small kitchen, there for food takes a while to get to you. I had a burger with bacon and cheese. The patty was properly cook, appeared homemade. Very over worked meat, and shapped almost like a ball, rather than a patty. The shape created difficultly getting my mouth around it. The burger was, dry, heavy like bad meatloaf, lacking seasoning and not special, and I would not rebuy. Fries were beautifully cooked, and crisp. lovely. My dining companions had fish and chips. They enjoyed both enjoyed their meals. I will try this place again at a later date.

Great place to stop en route to cottage country from Toronto. Service was great, portions were appropriate and food was well done. Braised beef tacos were tasty — with a little heat but not too hot. Would have liked to have a hot salsa to add to the heat. Beer selection was great — lots of high quality craft beers, although I thought $ 8.50 for a pint was a little steep! Kids menu is typical fare — and portions were fine for my 9-year old daughter, but my 9-year old boy and 11-year old both ordered from the regular menu. Nice street view, good for people watching and generally a very relaxing vibe.

So I guess in Barrie it is impressive to serve a ‘daily vegan meal.’ I was interested(as a vegetarian) and ordered it. Stingiest serving ever for $ 14. The meal was described as quinoa and vegetable soup with organic salad. It was essentially 200ml or less of soup, no bread and a few lettuce leaves with dressing. I asked for bread to go with it and they charged me $ 2 extra. I was so hungry afterwards I ordered the deep fried mars bar and no drink(as it would have been too expensive) and my meal still rounds out to $ 26 dollars. To be fair the server was good. She was the only one there and was working when she was 8 months pregnant. They also had a good craft beer selection but it was on the pricey side. So my advice to you Local Gastropub is… serve bigger portions or charge less!

I’ve been twice. The first time I had the mac & cheese, second time was the fish & chips. Both were delicious and filling. The service is fast and friendly. This is one of the few places I’ve found locally that has Mad Tom IPA from Muskoka Brewery on tap. Their selection of local craft beers is the best I’m aware of in Barrie.

Super friendly service and good food(including a surprisingly delicious vegan dish). Beer is a bit expensive at $ 7.50 a pint though, but a good selection.

My husband and I love visiting the Gastropub. Their menu is small but everything on it is delicious. You really can’t go wrong. I’m not a poutine fan but I love the poutine at the Gastropub. Also try the homemade mac & cheese!

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon. The food is fantastic and the beer selection was the best we found in the Georgian Bay area. The owner, Scott(from Scotland) was enthusiastic about his fare, his beer, and his restaurant. When he found out it was our honeymoon, he sent over a bottle of a local Belgian style. We had two appetizers and split an entre. Our favorite was the cheeseburger poutine, which featured perfectly cooked hand cut fries. The food here is pub fare, but with a real flair, and a fantastic selection of local brews, which the waitress knew very well. All in all our favorite dining experience in Ontario.

This bar was fantastic! They serve 9 Ontario brewed beers on tap. My favorite was the Mill St Stout. The chef and owner of the bar makes scrumptious food too! I had the pastrami Reuben sandwich with homemade fries and thousand island dressing. FABULOUS! My co-worker had the mac n cheese; which she loved too! The atmosphere is laid back in the heart of downtown Barrie. They had the windows open which gave a good feel of the city. We will come back here! Cheers!
