I usually LOVE this place, but this year, I’ve found the experience to be quite disappointing. My first disappointment is that the soft serve machine is broken, and they’ve made no effort whatsoever to fix it, and the staff don’t have any info on when it’s gonna be fixed. The second disappointment is the fact that this year, the staff have no personality, chicken little used to be a fun, happy experience but now it’s just a basic«what do you want» type of experience, I feel like the staff don’t even want to be there. The product is fine, hopefully next year they’ll try a bit harder in terms of hiring to make sure they pick harder working more passionate people.

In all the years I’ve been to The Chickenbuger, I’ve never been to their ice cream parlour around the back. Chicken Little is pretty cute, with it’s helpful bubbly staff members and rows on rows of brightly coloured ice creams. Like most by-the-scoop spots in NS, the ice cream here is provided by Scotsburn Dairy. I always thoughts moon mist was the prettiest of all the flavours, but now that I’ve seen birthday cake, it might be second place. There’s really not much else to say. The ice cream is cool and refreshing, the cones are those weird ones that kind of taste like styrofoam and somehow manage to leak all over your napkin. It’s basic summer memories. And in case you’re not a hard ice cream fan, they have soft-serve as well.

The newish expansion of Chickenburger for the serving of ice cream to the citizens and visitors of little Bedford town. A trailer, set back from the original Chickenburger, stocked with plenty of variety of the ice creams, soft serve, and slushies too! Just about anything you could use on a hot summer’s afternoon to cool down. As such it can often be quite a wait to get to your cool, creamy goodness, but it’s worth the wait! The younger staff is usually eager to serve and keeping with the Chickenburger tradition, customer service is always good. Even had them replace a scoop lost by my little cousin shortly after we purchased it. There is a nice green area with picnic benches to enjoy your cool treat, and it’s often frequented by some feathered friends, so that’s always fun for the kids. A great spot to cool down on a hot day.
