What a gem! This «cottage by the sea» rental location is a wonderful peaceful place with private beach, fully equipped kitchen and only 30 minutes from virtually dozens of local sights including the city of Halifax and famous Peggy’s Cove. We opted to stay put and watch the sea, the sun, the clouds, and nap to the sound of the surf. A truly rejuvenating 4 days. There are only 6 little cottages so it really feels like your own private spot. Lovely jogging, biking and hiking trails for miles and miles and a bike rental location close by. My highlight was ordering cooked and cracked lobster from the local Shatford’s Lobster Pound in nearby Fox Point and cracking it open on our private deck while sipping local Ice Wine. I highly recommend this location, we even had a storm and curled up in front of the gas fireplace (just the flip of a switch) and watched the fog role in and the thunder sound. Whether sun or storm the view is lovely and the atmosphere quaint.
