One Fifty Five

We will come back to Bracebridge mostly because an overwhelming craving will overcome us and the need to revisit One Fifty Five will arise. It will be worth the drive from Toronto. Just amazing, fresh, house made everything, all bursting with flavour, starting with a flavourful but not at all salty roasted pepper soup with goat cheese and spinach, light soft freshly baked bread with a thin crispy crust accompanied by garlicky hummus and then the rainbow trout and empanadas. I only finished eating it 10 mins ago and already salivating again. Dessert is about to come so I must go and give it my undivided attention.

This was my fiancé and my first time going to this restaurant. We have checked out pretty much all other restaurants in Bracebridge and we’re looking for something a bit more upscale.
We started with a glass of wine each (decent variety of wine options by the glass and bottle), then had our starter, classic 155 beef carpaccio. This was delicious!
My main course was the black tiger shrimp

Fiancé had the burger with the daily soup. Both were perfect serving sizes; not too big, not too small.
Dessert was incredible also. I had the flourless chocolate cake and he had the vanilla bean ice cream which is made in house.
Great service, delicious food. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush, they give you enough time to digest and enjoy each course. We will return for sure!

The storefront says 155 Market, and when you go in the front door there’s a little shop where you can buy salad dressings and jars of jams and chutneys. Yes, there’s a restaurant in there if you keep walking.
Nice place. Décor is bright and calm, not too cluttered, and both Mexican– and Thai-​inspired in places with the ubiquitous Muskoka paintings of flowers and sailboats.
Service is friendly. Food is slow in a good slow-​food way, like they’re really focusing on getting everything done well and from scratch. All the food was good and fresh, and creative without being weird or pretentious.

My now husband and I had our wedding there last night and we couldn’t be happier. We chose One Fifty Five because we loved the food and service during the day, and our planning process before the dinner last night was made very easy with Jan and the chef Mike. Our guests cleaned their plates, and the atmosphere was romantic and relaxed thanks to amazing service. We are so grateful to them for helping make our special day so perfect.

Thank-​You so much!!! We had two of the best meals ever, went there for lunch, and it was so good, we went back for dinner. The staff was wonderful, were very prompt with service, and very pleasant to talk to. The presentation was absolutely wonderful, and the food, excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. If I get back to that beautiful town again, I’ll be sure to go there again.

Nice restaurant. Food was okay, but service was terrible. Slow, under staffed. Over 20 minutes to place dessert order followed by same amount of time to get it. Tea delivered without condiments, but because 2 other tables filled waiter too busy to come back.
Was expecting a lot more for the price.
Will likely not return soon.
