My friend and I came here after I found a Groupon. $ 20 for two people to have a round of golf. Knowing that this course has deals on Groupon AND seeing other reviews, I went in expecting the worst(i.e. missing greens, missing flags, people living under the cart bridges etc). However, seeing as it worked out to $ 10 bucks each(plus $ 4.00 for the pull cart), I was actually kind of pleasantly surprised how it turned out! Holes 2 – 8 were generally quite good, and there were even some picturesque holes. Of course though, there were some major negatives that brought down the star rating to a 3. First off, the place is cash-only. I have never heard of a golf course that is cash-only, but the fact that they don’t inform you of this on their website OR when you call and book a tee time is quite ridiculous. They have a sketchy ATM for your pleasure, so that you can rack up the bank charges. Another level of sketch was added when the golf attendant tried to sell us after-shave. Not really sure why I would buy after-shave from a $ 10 golf course in a pro shop that was cash only but there you have it. Another strange thing about the clubhouse was the«restaurant». Their«menu»(without prices) was written down on a piece of paper and taped to the door. As for the course, like I said holes 2 – 8 were generally good. There were some problems with weeds being rampant and branches that fell during the ice storm in December not being picked up yet. The first hole was absolutely pathetic though, with half of it literally being part of the housing development beside the course. Nothing like playing out of a construction site if your shot goes a little off! All in all, for $ 10 bucks per person(from the Groupon) I would say it was worth it. If I had to pay full price I don’t know if I would go back. If they would fix the negatives that I mentioned(that frankly are quite fixable), then it would be a much better overall experience. They have the ability to make a great course, they just need to invest in it to make that happen.
