Ice Cream Cafe

I like this little place. It very much has a local charm, and certainly small-​business since the place is clearly not a chain and decorated by hand. But it’s still nice in there and I like that this is place in downtown Brampton. Hopefully they have favourable rent, since I’m pretty sure they’re not even open for half the year and probably at their peak for less in the remaining half they are open.
They’re right by city hall and Gage park, and perfect to have around during all the activity around summertime. The ice cream itself surpassed my expectations. For some reason I had low expectations before I had visited and almost expected the worst with freezer burn or poor quality. However, not the case at all. Very creamy, fresh and authentic taste of the respective flavours. They have over two dozen flavours of regular ice-​cream, and another dozen or so of gelato. They’re always friendly here too.
When you’re around downtown Brampton on a summer’s day, this should be one of your stops.

This is such a cute place. The décor is inviting as well as the staff.
I was greeted promptly with a friendly hello.
Selection of ice cream and gelato is pleasing and seems very delicious.
I had the mango gelato, which was actually very tasty and tasted like actual mango!
This is a great place to come by and I’ll definitely visit again!

My boyfriend said this place had good I cream so I gave it a chance.
The two worker guys were quite friendly and eager to help. I got the raspberry cheesecake gelato. It was quite tasty.
The only reason why I give this three stars instead of 5 was because I found a piece of black hair in my gelato embedded inside. At first, I thought it was mine until I pulled it out. Check the photo.

My hubby and I walked in to check out the selection on a not so warm summer day. We ended up with two double scoop cups after a friendly condo with the owner. He’s great! Great space to take your kids or meet a friend after the farmer’s market. Cool Main Street location near to City Hall and Gage Park.

Ice Cream Café though does not make their own ice cream but they carries ice cream from Maypole Dairy Products which is based in Etobicoke, Ontario.
Located in the Main Street Brampton, I was so excited to see it was still open if not I might have to end up having a soft cone at McDonald.
Pistachio Almond Crunch ($ 3.25 for a single scoop tax in) has all the things I love, loaded with tons of almonds! I just love my nuts!
Ice cream is fresh and just at the right temperature… great for a nice hot summer night.
