there’s no AC here. it smells at times(but I can’t complain it is a gym.) there’s no women’s section or pool I come here as its close to home and the train station. I like the variety of machines here. definitely better than the gym at airport

This gym has had an HVAC issue for over a year. It is so bad that it becomes hard to breath while working out. A disgrace to the LA Fitness brand.

The only reason I am giving this gym 2 stars is because of the layout. The layout is very nice and there is lots of space to workout alone or on machines. This gym does not get the equipment repaired in a timely manner, the equipment is dirty at times, weeks go by with treadmills etc not working. The other HUGE issue with this gym is the HVAC, there is no ventilation, you cant ever feel the AC, the cycling room was a sauna this morning. The HVAC has been an issue for 2 years or more. WHATARETHEYDOINGABOUTIT? NOTHING! I am paying $ 35 a month for this place and getting very frustrated. The staff sit at the front and lounge pretty much. If you don’t have your pass they give you a hard time, but what about there obligations to the members? What happens if someone had passed out from the heat this morning? The cycling room does not have a proper stereo system either, it does not work consistently. There is not a lot of mats available for floor work, the treadmills, steppers, elliptical are all old. Where is the money going? I would switch to another gym in a heartbeat if there was one available.

This is my favourite LA location. It is definitely not as modern as the new locations. There is something about the lack of tecnology that increases the workout atmosphere. My opinon only.

Just a gym… if you want weights and machines, then this is the place. DONOT expect cleanliness, friendly staff, or lockers that work. Forgetting about the old equipment/machines that they still have at this location, the washrooms/change-rooms are dirty. The showers, the lockers, and the washrooms all smell and are very tiny. Can get very crowded after work… off hours are the best time to go. The people that come here aren’t friendly or the sharing type so don’t expect someone to lend you weights or hurry up a set for you to start yours. The juice bar is the only thing this place has going on.

Just an ok gym … not a club, but I’m kinda a club snob. Has all your necessities but lacks the more up to date cardio equipment, core machines or accessories, and multipurpose machines. Can get a little crowded after work but mornings are ok. Clean enough, no towels provided, and staff is nice enough.

I was a member of this club for a very long time without any major issues. I lost my Visa card that they had on record and therefore one of my payments did not go through. They called me and I provided them with the new number and to my surprise they billed me $ 10 for NSF fee. I requested that fee to be waived as it had never happened before and it wasn’t my fault. After jumping through a few hoops and trying a few times and being unable to talk to the Manager, I ended up asking them to cancel my account. The assistant to the ‘Operations Manager’ was extremely rude and told me to go talk to Visa to ask them why my payment didn’t go through(seriously, who hires people like her?). When you cancel, you are given a form that you are supposed to mail to the head office in Irvine CA(USA). I ended up spending another $ 10 to send it via registered mail. After all, it is about the principle and not the money. I hope one of their executives reads this and does something about it. This is no way to treat people. Shame on you LA Fitness.
