I went to Michael’s to buy items for my wedding. They have ample selection in do-it-yourself ‘anything wedding related’. Specifically I got items for our favors from here. We needed 300 favors, for each plate setting — and that can be a challenge finding 300 of one type of item. I bought the black cushion boxes and black square boxes. I will admit its lots of work as first you have to make the box. Secondly, filling the boxes(we used Hershey kisses and candy covered almonds). Thirdly, tying ribbon on each box. And lastly adding the ‘message’ which we printed in each ribbon tie! So YES it is lots of labor, just depends if you enjoy this type of stuff. From Micheal’s I bought the boxes, and the ribbon(which was $ 5 a roll and only got me 7 boxes ribboned) so I opted for another equally nice but cheaper option. Michael’s however did not have the printing paper we needed for the favor messages, for that I had to go to Party Packagers. So eventhough they have lots of options, not necessarily will you find it all in stock. But it is great to go for ideas!
