Big on trying to be modern, less on functionality and design. My review of this place is based on a meeting function in which I didn’t stay at the hotel but we had business meetings and lunch. This hotel tries to be so modern and Euro-cool yet I believe it’s kitschy and less functional when you think about it. You enter the hotel and it appears very avant-garde, minimalist and styley! In my mind I believe they tried to copy the concept of W hotels from the Starwood chain. Our meeting room was on the second floor. We had to park across from the hotel in the Dix — trente parking. I could have taken the elevator upstairs but decided to take the stairs. Our meeting room was okay yet many of the woman complained the AC kept the room too cold. I like the rooms to be cold so I obliged and turned the heat up. AC kept going on! Our lunch was in the 2nd floor lobby open area. In the back they had what I could only describe as big huge tube you crawl under to make a phone call on your cell for privacy. Again kitschy yet minimalist functional. The coffee was just ordinary being served. So were the pastries and continental breakfast. Lunch was okay asian-salad with those crunchy noodles a variety of wraps(chicken and turkey bacon) and some desert I didn’t try. It was an okay lunch but somewhat forgettable. As you can see I’m not that wowed by this place.

The hotel is trendy and the room is super modern and clean, but this place is clearly a Hotel established by some University Graduates who think that they will make millions by creating a fancy looking hotel, without considering the ESSENTIALS of a hotel. There is no parking. I was traveling with my family, so that was somewhat of an inconvenience but still, not the worst. The rooms have no curtains. NOCURTAINS. They have white blinds, and since our room was facing sunrise, the room was FIILED with light when the sun rose around 5am. Impossible to sleep through it. Hellooooo, this is a hotel. The first thing people need a hotel for is sleep! Not fancy sheets. When we told reception, they mentioned many guests have complained and they were ‘considering’ it. Are you kidding me? To me, this is a huge mistake that I would rectify immediately were I the owner of the Hotel. Also, one day my phone charger went missing. I always left it in the nightstand, ON it. I asked the staff if it was moved by cleaning crew, they had no idea, then gave me some bogus excuse, saying the hotel vacuum must have sucked it up. A substantial blackberry charger? Two days later, they gave me what they called ‘a new one to replace it’. It was clearly not new, and I am convinced it was my original charger, which made us think that someone swiped it thinking we wouldn’t notice? Unprofessional. Also small things were off. For the price, the hallways and elevator weren’t spotless, did not convey attention to detail that you would expect from a pricey hotel. Reception — young graduates probably — doesn’t even bother greeting guests when they walk into the hotel. A little greeting goes a long way in conveying respect and professionalism. This place is not worth the hype and price. They have a long way to go.

Modern décor, comfortable Eco hotel close to restaurants & shops on South Shore Just stayed there last night for a work meeting. Very comfortable. Room was a good size, comfortable bed, good size TV, clean bathroom. Fruits & Passion products — full size so it’s communal. Minimalist style, if you want drinks or snacks or coffee you have to buy them from the Front desk. Tons of parking. Wifi didn’t work in the room, but worked in the lobby. Restaurant upstairs in mall(Eggstyle) is where you can grab breakfast.

Effort to be a trendy, Euro-like and modern a little overdone. No restaurant on hotel and worst of all no minibar in room. Bed and room comfortable. Staff friendly. Maybe a little thrown off by fact that I checked in at midnight, elevator from garage was broken, had to order in food from a local pizza place where they didn’t answer phone the first 10 times I called, had to go to lobby to get a few beers to bring to my room and wireless was not working. Ugh!!!

Very cool and trendy hotel on the South Shore — 15 minutes from downtown Montréal(providing it isn’t rush hour). Great bed, great linens, great shower and really friendly staff — all for $ 129 per night(this is a bargain in Montréal). They don’t have a restaurant — but they do have a great breakfast restaurant(Eggstyle) just next door — and they are in the Quartier Dix30 so there are plenty of chain restaurants nearby — some of them deliver. If you don’t need to be downtown — this is a neat place to stay. They really try hard
