Went here for lunch with a few buddies as I got a coupon book in the mail and had a great experience. We sat in the bar, which has a nice atmosphere, minus the wobbly tables. We all had burgers and they were delicious. Loved the fries. We were served by a male bartender who was knowledgable and friendly but gave us space. The level of service was right next to the quality of the food. Our server, Justin, gave awesome service, it was nice being served by someone who actually seemed authentic. He Suggested we try the beer, Shocktop, which turned out to be an awesome choice. Will be back to this Kelseys for sure.

For my Friday lunch pic I chose Kelsey’s. They have a 10 meals for $ 10 promo going on so I figured why not. The Restaurant They have a very nice dining area both inside and on the patio. We chose the patio because it was such a nice day. Both areas were super clean and looked great. The Food We all got different burgers and they all were really good. I went simple with the Burger 101, Lam had the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger and Ryan had the Peppercorn Burger. They were all cooked great and looked great. I really liked mine. Lam and Ryan ordered mojitos and they said they were pretty sour but the waiter brought them some simple syrup and apparently they were good after that. The Service The service was good but a little slow. There only a few tables(both inside and out) and our food took longer then I would expect. lam had to bring some food back to finish it. Otherwise it was good. Our waiter was a cool guy and really helpful(like with the mojitos). With the 10 for $ 10 this was a great value, unfortunately that wont last forever though. I would go back though.

Came here for lunch today as it was a coworker’s choice to select our lunch spot for Friday. Kelsey’s has a limited time 10 for 10 deal going on which is 10 different dishes for only 10 dollars. All 3 of us chose to have burgers today, 3 different kinds. Justin had the Burger 101(basic), Ryan had ordered the peppercorn and I had the ultimate bacon cheeseburger. Ryan’s was topped with 2 onion rings, my bacon burger had both bacon slices and peameal bacon on it. The burgers were really good but it would have been nice if the orders came out a little faster than they did. We were rushing around 12:45 to get done as we had to go back to work before 1pm. The mojitos we had were a bit sour. Our server brought out a shot each of simple sugar to sweeten up our drinks a bit. The mint didn’t seem like it was grinded and adding the liquid sugar helped a bit but it still seemed a bit off. The dining area was nice but we decided to go with the patio today being a nice day and all. I had to maneuver the umbrella a bit but it was a nice day to eat outside. Overall the food was pretty good for the price since there was a special going on but the drinks were a bit off. Also we should have said we had to leave before 1pm that was on us but perhaps we could have had it speed up a bit because we were rushed. I had to finish the other half of my burger back at the office. The food was really good though I’ll definitely give them that. The fries were just the way I love them, warm, crisp on the outside but soft on the inside.

Studies show that chains are unaffected by ratings on Unilocal. So don’t get your panties in a knot if I’m giving an ungodly chain restaurant 4 stars. I haven’t been to a Kelsey’s probably since the early 1990s. But we had a $ 50 gift card and figured why not? What did I discovered after all these years? Well, they have some great burgers at a reasonable price(nothing over $ 15). There’s a great kid’s meal sure to please for about $ 7. Service is really quite excellent. They’ve gone the«20 something servers in tight black dresses and bare legs» route. But, well, I guess that’s to be tolerated. The beer on tap is pretty unimaginative. I hate when Rickard’s Red on tap is considered the craft beer alternative.

As big chains go, consistent and little better than mediocre. Pepper burger not bad. Staff usually okay. Occasionally good, never had outstanding.
