I am not usually one for such low ratings, but really it was quite ‘meh’ here, and I would not come back. We came here after a extremely hard day of Tri training with very little food in our stomach, therefore we were starving to say the least. Usually when you are that hungry you tend to love anything you put in your mouth. I am not saying the food was gross, by any means. It was just really underwhelming. Are these not one of the originators of the Raw movement?!? I expected so much more! I got the Taco, it was expensive and it was tiny. Literally a small piece of nut loaf(smaller than my hand palm) wrapped in lettuce with a tiny bit of guac and salsa? That is all I could really taste in it. Yes it tasted good, but what did I even just pay for? This was the furthest thing from a meal possible. The staff came off as impatient and not helpful when we were trying to decide what to have. I wouldn’t come back here and I would send people to the other Vegan restaurant down the street which is amazing. If you’re set on Raw, there are much better places.

I think my low-ish star rating is more because I played it safe in my order. I’ve never been to a raw food restaurant and wasn’t quite sure that foods like quesadillas and pad Thai would be good in raw form. So I went with the spring rolls and the coleslaw. The spring rolls were just okay — I don’t like cilantro and didn’t think they’d be loaded up with it. The ingredients were nice and fresh though and i think sans cilantro it would have been good. The spicy Thai dip it came with was good and very hot! The coleslaw seems like a small portion but it’s really packed in. It’s got a great fresh taste to it and was really enjoyable. Overall I’m not sure I’d come back to this particular raw food restaurant. The staff wasn’t very friendly and I wasn’t overly impressed with the food. I think next time I hit a raw food place I’m going to be more adventurous though. And I’ll remember to ask them to hold the cilantro

Rawlicous just opened a new location in Burlington, Ontario this year and my first visit was awesome. Everything is raw, and vegan, and almost all of the produce they use in their food is certified organic(although it does not say that anywhere in the restaurant or on the menu?) I ordered a taco wrap and falafel salad and it was so delicious. For dessert I had a hemp seed bar. About 15 minutes after my boyfriend and I ate we both noticed how amazing we felt in our bodies. Usually after eating at a restaurant we are both tired and kind of moaning, but this experience had us coming back to Rawlicious for more. Unfortunately the second and third visit to Rawlicious, however, was not as amazing as the first. It really does depend on who makes your food and who serves you. But I suppose the experience depends on that anywhere. Regardless, I would say this restaurant is definitely worth a try. It is RAW, vegan, mainly organic and certainly healthy.
