Terrible dining experience, would recommend you look elsewhere, there are plenty of good restaurants in Burlington to enjoy. We made a reservation for 4 people at 7:30, it took almost 45 minutes before we received our drink order, our appetizers didn’t arrive until 9:30 and they completely forgot to place our dinner order. After speaking to the manager on duty, our dinner order was placed, however it wasn’t received until 10:30. The concept of the restaurant is nice, and once received, the food was decent, however staff overall are completely disorganized. We noticed a few other patrons’ complaining as well, therefore we can only assume we were not the only ones.

Initially wanted to go to Pepperwood’s next door, but the patio was packed. Ended up here where the patio had plenty of seats and the restaurant was empty inside. The fact that the restaurant next door was fully booked and packed while this restaurant was empty should have been sufficient warning to stay away. The service was horrendous! We waited for over 30 minutes without any one offering us water or menus at our table. We attempted to put in our order directly with the kitchen staff as no waiters came by to serve us! Finally, we spoke with someone who seemed like the manager of the restaurant and he took our order as he could not find our waiter. Over an hour later, we still did not receive our food nor did we get water or bread. We had two young children with us who were getting impatient. It took over 1.5 hours to get our food. Once the food arrived, we asked for water again and we got one glass. There were three adults and two young children. The service was abysmal, which is unfortunate for a restaurant with such a great view of the water. Food was mediocre. I ordered a steak, which paled in comparison to the Keg, but cost about the same. Overall, we would not return.

Food: not bad. Service: aloof and lacking. We were walking through downtown Burlington on a warm Sunday afternoon and it seemed like all the patios were packed. Except this one. There were a few empty tables, so we sat at one, and after a while, a server came by and told us that we needed to go inside to be seated by a hostess. We went inside and stood at the hostess’ desk, but nobody came to help us. Finally, we caught the eye of the bartender who flagged down a server who told us to just go sit at a table. So we did. And we waited. And waited. And waited. The men sitting behind us, who had arrived after we did, were given menus and asked for their drink orders. We waited. Finally, I went back inside and asked the bartender if we could please get a server to help. Even though it clearly wasn’t his job, he came out, apologized, and wiped our table and gave us menus, promising that a server would come by soon. Eventually she did, but she barely said more than a few words. No friendly greeting. Just«are you ready to order?» She took our order and, luckily the weather was lovely and the lake was beautiful. While we waited for our food, I couldn’t help but notice the wait-staff at the Pepperwood restaurant patio next door laughing and chatting with the customers — who were lining up to get in. I thought to myself, if Table 34 were my restaurant and I saw this disparity, I’d be making some changes. The only person I could see with any sense of customer service was the bartender.(Kudos to the bartender!) Our food was good — not great, but not terrible. The veggie burger was tasty, but the fries were soggy. I’d likely have enjoyed our lunch more if our server had offered us drink refills or asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. But she didn’t. If the sun comes out and the other patios are full, this is not a bad place, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

These guys make the best soup ever. The chef makes it from scratch. I asked our server to check and the chef came out to explain how he does it. All his own recipes! My mother and I go every single week and we don’t even ask what type of soup is on offer. We just take the daily special and it has never disappointed.

Went Friday at lunchtime. Service was slow. Food was pretty good — we had cod tortillas and Montréal smoked meat sandwich, both were delicious. The portion sizes were ok, not generous by any means. We ordered a side of fries and they were disappointingly soggy. We ate as a group of 3 and we aren’t big eaters so it was a reasonable price for lunch but a bit overpriced for what we got. I would return again maybe for a lunch special or special occasion with light eaters to give it another shot.

It is so sad when a pretty space turns out so underwhelming. We went here in a Sunday and I had the taste of Burlington. There were not a lot of people but the service was very slow. They were friendly but totally forgot about us. I had hummus for starters and the portion was small and it tasted like puta and hummus I could have bought from the market. The sad thing was that it took 30 mins for this starter to get to us. Then I had the pasta which again tasted like something that could have come out of my own kitchen. Nothing special at all. Really sad as the space is Nivea d the server seems to be really trying to be friendly but just missing the mark on overall service.

Went on a friday, expecting it to be bustling, but wasnt even half full. Waiter was really friendly and seemed knowledgeable, but took 20 mins for our cocktails to come out– and for the price were poorly made. For a short wine list, was way over priced. I ordered two apps. The cod bites were phenomenal– I would go just for those. The prociutto dates were also fantastic. I ordered the scallop and duck — the protien on the plate was ok at best, but the purée was what made the dish. We ordered oysters to the table — probably the simplest and fastest item to prepare… they didnt arrive until after our main course — credit to the waiter for comping them and bring free birthday deserts. This place has potential to be really good — a few service tweeks, a mixologist who tastes their cocktails, and a few more clients thru the door for ambiance and this place should be around for a while

Best charcuterie in the city and possibly surrounding area. My wife and I are huge connoisseurs of charcuterie boards. We have tried them all. While the others are also good we have found that table 34’s offers the best quantity and selection of meat, cheeses, spreads and breads at a fantastic price. A picture is worth a thousand words… unfortunately this was not considered until after this delicious board was gone.

Catastrophic Failure ! Went for the location which is great — should have noticed that they were empty and next door was full. Waitress palmed us off on the hostess who begrudged serving us — forgot numerous things. Salad wad stale and entrée(steak) was fatty and came with a couple of tiny limp vegetables. Awful food and awful service … one starter and one entrée and two cocktails came to $ 110 — rip off ! They even charged for a little extra soda water to dilute the cocktail. Unfriendly and overpriced to say the least —- avoid it.

Liked the location and the cocktail drinks, but the servant serving us was not exactly friendly. The menu was very diverse, I tried the steak sandwich which was the day’s special and was not very fond of it considering how much it cost. The steak was rather fatty and covered in BBQ sauce. The patio seats were pleasant though, I figure the place would be really nice for drinks!

This restaurant is located right in the heart of Burlington, overlooking Lake Ontario. When I first walked in, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The staff was very polite and professional, which is what will bring me back. The food is absolutely excellent !! The portions are very large compared to other restaurants of this caliber. This restaurants target audience is clearly a mature crowd, but they do offer a children’s menu. It’s great to see a place that is modern and chic yet they can make a dining experience with your children an enjoyable one.
