Bubble World

THERE WAS A BUG IN MY MEAL. While finishing up my fried rice i look down at my bowl ans i see a huge GREEN worm/​caterpillar looking thing about AN INCH LONG sitting on my rice. I didn’t believe it at first because it looked too gross to be true… It made me sick to the stomach. Notified the waitress and she looked at it in shock and went to the kitchen for a bit then came back telling us she’s sorry and that the entire meal’s free. By far the worst restaurant experience i’ve ever encountered. Would not recommend coming to this place EVER. Disgusting.

I do like their bubble drinks here and I also like their spicy beef noodles, takoyaki and beef wrapped in Chinese pancake. Their customer service is pretty bad. on rare occasions, we did get decent customer service but 75% of time, their customer service really bad. Even when we order to go, the waitresses seem clueless and seem high on something because we ended up waiting for 30 minutes due to she had no clues what to do with take out. Also the place is very busy and crowded and can get very noisy.

The quality of food used to be good. Their chicken pop corn was their number one signature however it is quickly loosing it’s original flavour which is unfortunate. They have good tea drinks though.

I come here a lot, but never really did a review. So here we go, first review.
When coming here, the first thing you noticed is that it’s quite packed for sure. It’s usually very busy especially at evenings and you would have to wait to be seated.
Luckily, the waiting time was just 5 – 10 minutes.
The food was okay! I would say the best part is really the atmosphere. It feels very lively and casual. Good for family/​friends hang out.
The food though, is okay. But the price is not bad. So that makes up for it.

Terrible service. 3 waitresses and no one tried to take order from me for 15 minutes. Only a quarter of the tables were occupied, that’s 6 tables. Come if you don’t mind bad service.

The Best bubble tea shop in Burnaby and it has a long history in Chinese community. It also offers Taiwanese menu and all taste great. Love their 盐酥鸡，very authentic. In the summer, this restaurant is very busy, especially during evening time.

Great experience overall and will happily to this Bubble World location.

I’m a frequent here. I either 1) order food to dine in or 2) order bubble tea to go. The food quality always meets my expectations (My favorite are the Kimchi Pot Pot and Salty Peppery Chicken Nuggets), and service is usually fine. The bubble tea is a bit on the sweet side with regular sugar (I like the Old Fashion Milk Tea, Milky Pudding Tea, or Peach Slush), and the take out service is always very speedy.

Love that this is open late! One of the better bubble tea chains around. The bbt here is always smooth and never watered down tasting. I recently became addicted to hot tea with pearls. Try their Earl Grey tea (hot) with pearls here, you won’t be disappointed! Also good, their classic tea along with their rose tea.

Nice place to go there during the dinner time, but severs would busy and I have to wait for long time to get the seats. The bubble tea is really really good! Like it !

The food is always good but the service is not the greatest especially when it is busy. It would be nice to have more staff to assist all the customers.
Because of the service I give 3 stars.

What can I say about this place? You cannot really love or hate this place because you know you’ll always order from them.
Bubble World’s, especially this Kingsway location has always been a local staple for a quick, tasty, take-​out within it’s surrounding areas. It gets really busy during dinner times everyday and probably more busier on holidays.
You cannot really complain with service because they are always.well.busy! I guess my 3 stars is to just consider it as a «gets the work done» kind of review. 90% of my orders here are take-​out and rarely I eat in. Lunch time definitely gets tamer and more relaxed.
Some recommendations: The legendary Salty Peppery Chicken Nuggets or Squid Feet. Satay Beef and the Five Spice Chinese Roll. For drinks, I always get the classic Taro Slush or the Black Bean Slush, both of course. with pearls.
My recent visit, we ordered the Kimchi Beef Hotpot and it was delicious and inexpensive. Nice!
Also don’t come in with just your debit or credit cards because this place only accepts cold, hard cash!

Super great food and drinks. Over the span of a few days we tried the Ferrero Rocher slush, the fresh taro and the taro slushes. All VERY good especially the taro. No big chunks of ice.
The fried pork cutlet (i think that’s what it was) was also very good. Will return if ever in the area!

You have to make sure you have cash. This is a cash only restaurant. The staff are alright. The service was fast. We got our meals in under 10 minutes. I had the beef brisket. Its ok. I had better tasting brisket from No. 1 Beef Noodle House. We also ordered Curry Chicken. This was tasty. The Salty Peppery Chicken are the best. The portions are very and the prices are reasonable. I would have given it another star if not for the loud foreign music.

You get what you come here for. Are usually often come here for strawberry bubble fresh fruit bubble tea. I don’t like the amount of people that are at the establishment as it makes for a busy crowd and a bit slower service. However what I do you like is the consistency of how they make the bubble tea here. I guess the place is busy for a reason.

I’ve been here multiple times and apparently never wrote a review for it. Well here is my review. Service and food can be very inconsistent depending on who is making your food and whether or not you eat in or take out. So, I give this place a solid 3.5 stars because I still like their bubble tea but that would be at almost every bubble world.
Most of the time when I’m here I just grab take out bbt or snack food whether it is eat in or take out. The food is ok in my perspective but the bbt are generally pretty good. Like it’s not a huge difference like too sweet or too watery. Which is good.
I would say the service is pretty meh. I understand they try to hire asian girls with big boobs. But please make sure they don’t pop a button off their shirt. There was a girl who wore their uniform and that’s what it looks like. Not sure if she works there anymore.
The environment of the place is very chinese. They have comfortable chairs but they utilize every little space they can to fit people in the place. But it can be very loud.
Overall, it’s a place to grab and go verses sit in and enjoy.

I usually don’t mid the place. I always go here for bubble tea and salty peppery chicken nuggets. I decided to go for something different, I ordered the Chicken Knee. My friend and I were done our drinks and the nuggets he ordered, my chicken knee still hasn’t arrived. Waitresses were too busy doing other things. No follow up, hard to flag them down. Asked for the bill and was charged for the chicken knee.
No explanation as to what happened. At least they apologized and took it off the bill.

One of the thing, I love about this place is that it opens quite late. I was still there at 2 am and they are still open yesterday. They don’t rush people out. its close to metrotown. Bubble tea is pretty good. They do have limited choices on fresh fruits juice.
I have been there many times and always love coming back.
One thing is that its not easy to get a seat. They are always busy.

A gang of us went to Riverway driving range last night. After hitting 75 balls we went for some bbt and snacks. A few of my friends suggested Bubble World. I think I’ve had bbt here before but it has always been ordered to go. This is the first time I actually went inside sat at a table and had food here.
Bubble World is a loud and crowded hang out joint for a parade of young Asians to look and to be seen! How do you know you’re getting old? Anytime you start complaining that restaurants and cafes are loud and noisy! Haha
The bbt was alright. I ordered a chocolate mint bbt. Not being a connoisseur of bbt I hate to say but they all taste about the same to me! I also had some chicken nuggets. They were pretty good. Tasty and crispy! Yummy!
Me personally would not be a frequent customer of Bubble World. There are just too many options out there! Why wait 30 minutes for a table when you can just go somewhere else? But for what it is… a busy, happening hang out joint for 20 something ‘Hongers’, Bubble World gets 4 stars from me!

Taro bubble tea yummy!
I’ve been coming here for years and thought I’ve written a review for this location but I guess I haven’t. If you plan to come late night expect to wait to be seated. Lunch time or late afternoon is slower good time to go. I love their bubble tea I always get the taro slush with pearls (always with pearls!) and if not another great choices are lychee or coconut. Food is good especially for late midnight snacks, its greasy deep fried goodness. I usually get pepper chicken nuggets and squid feet or any of their combos are also good. And for dessert condense milk toast omg so good, just try it thank me later!
