This is a coffee shop with heart. The owner goes the extra mile to make sure the coffee is the best it can be and the shop is tidy it can be. Their cappuccino is one of the best I’ve ever tried and the latte art is world class. Absolutely love this place.

This review may change once I’ve had the chance to stop in for a proper sit down but for now my opinion will be based on my experiences so far. Caritas just recently opened in my hood. A hood DESPERATE for good coffee! The nearest decent coffee spot is a Waves 10 – 15 minutes away walking. I was so excited when I saw a legit coffee roaster with a very slick aesthetic had opened so close to home. I have yet to be impressed though. First of all, I’m sorry but what kind of coffee shop opens each day at 10am? Didn’t they get the memo that people need to start their day with a direct line of coffee to the vein. They are completely missing out on the obvious morning rush and making it impossible to grab a coffee before early morning appointments. Second, I stopped in recently to finally try a coffee to go. I ordered a latte and before they started to make it I realized I had left my wallet at home. Honest mistake. The two staff working looked at me like I had two heads. They didn’t let me off the hook easily and just made it feel like a super awkward interaction. I haven’t been back since. Third strike, hubs brought home a package of their medium roast beans to finally try. It was bad. Bland, thin, pretty flavourless. I will for sure give these guys another try but lord have mercy! figure yourselves out!

Loved the modern interior and ample natural lighting. Got two matcha lattes — one iced(not pictured) and one hot, an almond croissant, and a brownie(not pictured). My sister and I enjoyed the hot matcha latte over the iced one. The hot one had a strong matcha taste with beautiful latte art whereas the iced one was milky. The almond croissant was really good with a lot of filling inside but I would definitely pass on the brownie next time because I did not enjoy the dried cranberries inside. It was also a bit too sweet and on the crumbly side. Overall, I love that the café is a friendly space and caters towards the community. Bonus points for using Ikea bird decals on their walls! I have the same ones in my room.

Great tasting coffee from a place that roast their own beans! I’ve had their pour — over coffee, latte, americano, matcha latte, all without disappointment. Great atmosphere with simple and clean décor. Friendly staff and management. Perfect neighbourhood coffee shop!!!

Perfect for what it is. A small quiet artisan coffee shop. The key here is quality over quantity. There are not a lot of items on the menu to choose from but everything is super super good. Food options are more limited than the coffee. I love coming here for the atmosphere; Kenya pour over and a ham and Swiss(with Apple!) on a croissant, park myself near the window and people watch for an hour. Great spot!

This is my first time here and the staff was very nice to me and suggested manual drip coffee, the owner made the coffee himself for me in a very professional style, it was a delight to watch. I also ordered a green tea macaron, it was very good. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy very fine coffee, this might be a place you are looking for.
