I had my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Ian Matthew promptly and smoothly. The consultation before the surgery was thorough, and he had talked me through the procedure, my options, and what to expect in terms of experience. It only took me a few weeks to book for the extraction, possibly sooner if that had suited my schedule.
They checked on me via phone calls and emails after the surgery, which was considerate.
There was a small billing mishap but the friendly staff followed through solidly to correct it.

Dr. Matthew is an oral surgeon in Burnaby and, in my book, is a 15 out of 10! I had 3 teeth extracted yesterday and am totally amazed at how pain-​free the procedure was. On his instruction I took a pre-​op sedative 1 hour prior to surgery and then had conscious sedation for the extractions. I woke up frozen and pain free. When the freezing abated, to my complete surprize, I had only a very, very slight discomfort, but no pain. I took no pain killing medications, slept very well and felt great today. Dr. Matthew is kind, caring, humorous and dedicated to pain-​free surgery. I highly recommend this gentleman to anyone considering oral surgery.

Dr Matthews was extremely friendly, personable and went through all the procedures and what to expect. I felt very comfortable and at ease, I booked in the next week to have it done. The lady that was prepping me was very friendly and lovely, and was making conversations about how I was feeling and gave me a blanket as it was a little chilly! I was put to sleep so didn’t feel a thing, and it was over very quickly. The post surgery everything is going very well, a little soreness but that is to be expected, just take the prescription pills and you don’t feel a thing. I had very minimal bleeding to, just remember to keep In The gauzes or tea bags anyway!
I had my top two taken out and my bottom right tooth, the right side of the face is a little sorer than my left side. But nothing bad. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and nice as well, and they even called a few hours later to follow up.
