Fast service and amazing food. I went here with my family and ordered 5 items with Masala Chai. We ordered spicy eggplant and green beans, veggie fried rice, chicken hot and sour soup, Manchurian chicken and Szechuan prawns they were all good. Couldn’t pick favourite one from all. Loved how it was spicy and flavourful. We were fine eating spicy food and server asked if that was okay. Not a problem. I personally found Chai too light and not sweet enough for my liking. Maybe there was too much milk? I’m giving 5 stars.

What an awesome find, walking distance from my hotel! The ginger beef was delicious and paired well with the spicy eggplant and green beans. The Chai masala was authentic, not a cheap powdered drink. The place was clean. Fast friendly service. My order was for take-out, but they brought me water and invited me to sit comfortably in the dining room while I waited. Very gracious. I only wish they had another restaurant in my hometown.

Been coming to Indian Wok since it first opened and have to say I’ve never been disappointed. By far some of the best indian-chinese fusion I have tasted in a long time, yes the staff are all chinese but fun fact some do speak fluent Hindi. They are all very friendly and helpful and food doesn’t take too long to come out. I would say most of the traffic is for take out but it can sometimes get busy. If you get a chance to check it out, the shrimp dishes are must, my friends and I can’t get enough of the flavour and spices.

Food was okay! The food that was suppose to be crispy was soggy. Worst ginger beef I have ever had.

Went for takeout, told us it would be about 15 mins, ended up taking over a half hour. Had the ginger beef, honey garlic chicken, curry prawns, and broccoli and green beans. Ginger beef and chicken were the worst I’d ever had. Super soggy — was told they were going to be crispy, but they were drowning in flavourless sauce. Green beans and broccoli were crisp and yummy. Prawns were covered in a too thick sauce. Not impressed. It was edible but sad.

Very tasty indian style chinese food! Very good service. Good vegetarian options. Not too oily or salty. Will definitely recommend.

Came here recently with the girlfriend on the advice of a friend. He had insisted that they had THE best ginger beef in the city. Unfortunately that was not the case. We knew that this was an Indian-Chinese fusion restaurant and thus the food might have a different spin on it, so to speak. The dish that came out was spicy, but barely had any ginger taste to it. We ordered it medium and it was too hot for my liking. Further, the beef was not at all crispy. We were very disappointed. The restaurant was not even half full during our visit, and there were three waitresses working. With that in mind, the service was poor. We were seated quickly and brought drinks but after that it took awhile for someone to take our order. No one came to check on us, offer refills or take our plates away. It seemed like the other tables were getting much better service on account of having been there before. The GF was really excited to try their Mango Kulfi, but we didn’t even get an opportunity to order it. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Really good food for a fair price. I always come here for the butter paneer, mango lassi and sometimes for the fire ice cream. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I’m definitely coming back!

It’s definitely one of those places you pass by and never really think twice on it unless you decide to brave it and go inside… and pleasantly find that this place is a hidden gem. The people who run the restaurant are really pleasant and friendly. Hardly in a Chinese restaurant you will find this! But that’s not what blew me away, it was the food. The rice was just so delicious(could be due to my keto diet), and the main courses were absolutely delicious. We ordered 2 chili garlic dishes which were bursting with flavours and heat. We had some leftovers to take and the servers threw in extra rice to take home. That was so nice of them! I’d definitely come back to try their other dishes. Can’t wait!

My mom and dad thought since I was over they’d try the latest Indian/Chinese fusion restaurant that popped up. We’ve had green lettuce, chili pepper,(all along kings way) but this latest one takes the prize! They even kept the veggies dishes In a separate Togo bag than the meat dishes. Mom liked that. Do bad they don’t deliver, but give 15%off pick up orders. Parking is tough in that area. had to park at the Oasis Carwash

Small mom, pop type place. Decently priced lunch specials. Friendly service. Asian owners that speak Hindi from what I could discern, it wasn’t Chinese or Cantonese… I tried the fish lunch special(Soup, main and rice). It was good but I didn’t get the Indian flavours… I didn’t try any of the Indian dishes… Maybe next time. I’ll be back to try other menu items.

Superb food … delicately prepared, spiced, cooked and presented. A hidden gem and will definitely return to try all the dishes!!! PS … this is a centuries old«fusion» food where two cultures mix to produce the best flavours. When Manchurians conquered China(and the world), the ethnic group called ‘Hakka’ people left northern part of China and moved south eventually populating countries in South East Asia and South America. This beautiful blend of Chinese-Indian foods at Indian Wok is thumbs up. Casual but with class and excellent food with good prices. Most friendly server including the co-owner who greets and help serve. Already thinking of when I will return. Wish the restaurant is in Vancouver area but worth the drive for good food!

This place is hidden normally, a hole in the wall. Went there once to get a lunch for myself. This place looked like a strange fusion between Chinese and Indian food. Can tell by the name. I settled for Halibut Cheek Coconut Curry with rice. The sauce was good, a blend of coconut and curry together. The fish was well prepared and cooked. The price was reasonable, and the portion size was a fair amount to me. It feeds me well. The ambience of the restaurant still looks like a Chinese restaurant. There were Chinese framed pictures hanged on the wall. Didn’t see much of Indian elements inside, except condiments and peppers being hanging inside the restaurant. I am not too big of a fan of fusion food. If one day I feel eating Indian food, I will hop into the Indian food restaurant instead.

Well, I’ve been here twice now, both for takeout. The first time was a few weeks ago, I ordered the manchurian chicken rice. It was $ 9.95 and unlike most places it’s 15% off for pick up instead of 10% so it came out to like 8 bucks, that’s a pretty good deal, the rice was tasty and nicely spiced, the only problem was there was barely any chicken in it, and the chicken that was in it was soooooo tiny, it was diced, the same size as the frozen peas and corn they use. Ok, whatever don’t know what the deal with that was but I’ll give them a second chance before I write my review. I ordered the masala chicken rice today, the chicken a little bigger but still very chintzy and the price went up a buck. Not impressed… guess if I’m in the mood for chinese/indian I’ll go back to Chili Pepper House.

Couldn’t help but be intrigued by the cuisine’s title. I’ve eaten at equally strange restaurant combinations(‘chinese food & donuts’, ‘indian food and pizza’), and so I had to try it. The food was very tasty, with a lot of spice and flavor. Perhaps it was our fault, but we happened to order two dishes with somewhat similar flavor profiles(Chicken Manchurian noodles and Hot and spicy paneer). It would have been nice to try something with more vegetables or a black bean sauce. What really made the experience enjoyable was the host. It was unique seeing an east-asian woman and hearing a south-Asian accent come out of her mouth. She gave great suggestions and told us what to avoid, in terms of pairings. She wanted to hear where we were from, what we were doing in the area, and had a great genuine caring attitude. I highly recommend this place.

My favourite place for carryout. Indian Wok opened a few months back, and really gives Chili Pepper House and Green Lettuce a run for their money in the emerging Indian-style Chinese food category. As others have mentioned, it’s a family-run place, and the owners are so warm and nice; they’ll remember you after only a visit or two, and even for carryout will make sure you’re comfortable in a warm corner with some tea and a newspaper while waiting for your food to arrive, before giving you a 15% carryout discount. Food dishes are the typical Indian Chinese fare, but some of the highlights include: — Hot and spicy squid(my wife could eat this every day) — Vegetable Manchurian or the Gobi(cauliflower) Manchurian with Tofu — Chilli Tofu, chicken, or fish — Eggplant and Green Beans — Any of the mixed vegetable dishes; ask them for a recommendation based on what veggies you like — Tangerine Chicken
