Came in at 3:20 and was out by 3:42. No pain when needle went in. The staff member was discreet when confirming my private details.

This place is easy enough to find. There is ample parking in the basement. Their website provides all the details you need to know about your test, location, and best times to show up. Staff here is efficient and professional. The facility appears to be clean and well maintained.

To be honest I’m never happy about going here, because it usually mean’s there’s something rather wrong with me. The receptionists like to put up a front at first, but if you’re polite with them for a while they’ll ease up. It’s hard, however, considering you probably feel like crap because the doctor told you you might have [insert gross illness or disease here]. No privacy when giving out personal info at the desk is very true. The waiting room is set up with chairs crowded together, under florescent light. Even when it isn’t crowded it always seems to take longer than it should. However, they’re never got anything wrong and the doctors are cool.

This little medical lab is in a fairly old building, which means the office is not the fanciest lab around. Expect a wait if you go in the morning. I have been told it is less busy in the afternoon, but if you have to hold off food and water before your appointment that may be pretty tough to do. The other day I came in and waited. And waited some more. Those of us waiting were told the printer wasn’t working and they were relying on their other office. Then, a while later, we were eventually told by the raspy voiced tech that it may take up to half a day to fix. I left. I had already wasted 40 minutes. Today I came back. I waited, but at least the numbers on the«now serving» sign were moving. I had about a half hour wait this time. Once I was up and through to get my blood taken, the experience was actually pretty good. I had the young brunette woman, who was also the person who helped me at the front. They seem to do double duty here. Anyhow, this girl was good! Best blood drawing experience yet. She asked if it would be okay to take it from my hand since there was a better vein there which would be easier. I was fine with it and I hardly felt it at all. It was quick, painless, and then it was done. My body hates having blood drawn, so I of course got woozy, and she brought me some water. I was perked up and ready to go in a couple minutes. Downsides: Small waiting area, no magazines, long waits, no water fountain, no info given when the printer was down until much later, no privacy when giving personal information to the desk staff. 2 stars for the office. Upsides: Very efficient technologist with good beside manners. 5 stars for her! I only hope the rest of them are as good as she is.
