Their customer service is absolutely atrocious. Worst grocery store in all of Metro Vancouver. I wish there was a Thrifty’s or Safeway up there. I recommend doing your shopping off mountain or eating at the food court. Further: The chicken at the deli is dry and flavorless — not fresh off the rotisserie. They are unable to determine whether any other items there contain nuts for allergy sufferers. When they run out of one product brand, they don’t restock it. They wait till the other brands products are sold off. They have no vegetarian products. They have no hygiene products.

I like the place and choices. I bought ginger beef that was to hard. Also ordered butter chicken samosa for the first time. Yummmmm it was delicious. Must try it once.

The purpose of this location is more to serve the residence and less about the students that need grocery before class. They carry a lot of organics and gluten free products. The prices are high, therefore, I don’t make it a habit of coming here a lot, however, when I need a few things here and or there to tie me over for the rest of the work week I see it’s purpose here. Customer service is hit and miss. Large store with good selection. Only issue is that they rarely have sales. I am actually finding that with all locations.

I have waited until now, my final semester, to share my biggest secret to success — Nesters is my favourite place to study and I’m proud of it! That’s right, I attribute much of my 3.97GPA to Nesters. Thank you Nesters! The deli staff are really nice, the food is good(the turkey sandwich with cranberry bread — hold the peppers is my personal fave) and there’s fast wifi — what could be better?! I also shop, mail packages and pick up prescriptions here too. It’s such a great place with great customer service! Thanks Nesters!

I just bought a 3 month expired cheese from there… So when I returned the cheese, I found out that the same brand was gone so I took another brand that was slightly more expensive and they wanted to charge me for the difference! I have also noticed that they have a lot of expired or close-to-expire stuff on their shelves. So check the expiry date before purchasing.

Expensive? Maybe, but I will take it. I mean seriously, I’ll take it. Finally SFU gets on the ball with having an actual grocery store on campus, and it’s not hidden in the recesses of the woods! Awesome. We’ve had a lot of new condos built, but what about all the other people doing what they gotta do on campus? So here we are. Thankfully I don’t have to rely on the selection at the little Mac’s cornerstore at Production Way anymore… it’s been fun? This place seems pretty empty now, but I am sure business will be steady. I mean, who wants to go to Lougheed whenever they need life essentials like shampoo, if they live on campus? It’s just weird that we didn’t have it before. Also wierd that we don’t have a cheap produce store somewhere around here as well, it’s SFU… I guess I won’t get ahead of myself. So do I wish there was fresh, cheap produce like Joe’s or Kin’s, yes… but I hate going out of my way after classes to get something. It’s expensive, but if you just want one thing like a baguette or lunch or something, it’s fine. You’ll figure it out when you get there! Plus it’s huge and has stuff besides food, cleaning supplies, a pharmacy, It’s pretty big. The premade food looks enticing, I have to say, and they have a lot of really unique products and brands I’ve never seen, shopping around Burnaby. Plus, it’s closer to what the Trader Joe’s selections I keep hearing about in the states must be like. Fire-roasted tomatoes? You gooot it. Well, this is Steven Segal, signing out. Open 8 – 9? On weekdays, I think… only take my word on the closing time though.
