I think, by far. The better tasting phở and phở choices in Burnaby :) thanks for staying true and making phở enjoyable!

Pros: this place is within walking distance of my house. Which is a considerable pro, considering that phở is definitely wet rainy day food and I’m unwilling to walk one more block to Phở Tan. Cons: not the greatest phở? Broth is a little weak. Nothing a little hoisin and Siraccha can’t fix. They give a good hearty serving of meat, though. Good if you’re feeling lazy.

Had the Vietnamese coffee /half sweet — pretty consistent as long as you tell them to put less condensed milk. House chicken Phở — I must say this place has the best Noodles around. Perfect consistency, firm… you will know what I mean!!! …keeps me coming back. Would have been a 5 star but I had to ask 3 times for water.

Great phở, Horrible Service! The phở broth is very tasty, one of the best around. Unfortunately, the service is absolutely horrible/unfriendly. Some of the staff can barely speak English! If they resolve this issue, they could be one of the best phở noodle restaurants in Metro Vancouver…

My friends told me they had a good clear broth. I didn’t expect it to be as bland and tasteless as I thought. They also screwed up our orders, gave me raw meat on the side, and the large which was technically my friend’s specifications but just wrong order. I think they charged me for the for the large still, even though the dude was like oh it will just be small. At least that’s what my friends said since I couldn’t understand their his grunting. Whatever, I wasn’t going to argue over a dollar. I totally over tipped though, we were in a rush and I couldn’t math, and just trusted that that was the size small. So I wasted 2 dollars extra on this place. I’ll just think of it as paying 2 dollars so you know not to come to get mediocre bland phở. My experience doesn’t ring up 1 star because that’s worst of the worst, the food was edible, but there are better places for like a dollar less than taste a bit better.

Hands down my favourite place to get Phở in Vancouver. The décor is calming, it’s CLEAN(Thank God), and the food is always very satisfying. The broth is extremely flavourful, the meat is never too overcooked, and these people do NOT cheap out on the noodles. I have zero complaints about Phở Century :)

Probably the best place on Kingsway to eat Vietnamese food. Fast service, good food, and reasonable portions. I usually have the lamb or chicken with rice and salad or the phoa noodles which is served in a hot bowel of the best broth I’ve ever tasted. If somebody asked me where to go for Vietnamese food in Burnaby I would send them here.

Good food terrible service. I love the phở here, may even call it the best in the area, however the bad services I’ve been getting has pushed me to other Vietnamese restaurants. I usually get the phở tai and my boyfriend gets the lemongrass chicken on rice. They’re both very good. I enjoy the spring rolls as well. The service was never good there, they’re not friendly and sometimes even a bit rude. But the last few times we’ve gone, they’ve gotten our orders wrong and when we told them we didn’t order this. They made it seem as if it was our fault and had very bad attitudes about it. After this happened a couple times we decided to stop going even though the food is very good

No. Definitely not the«best» phở place in B.C. unless you just came out of your rock and that was the first meal you had. Ordered #9 house special which comes with flank, tripe, steak and meatballs and I told my boyfriend to just ask if I can replace meat balls for tendon instead and the manager I believe replied that its totally fine to do so but I would have a slight less portion of tendon and I was okay with that as long as I get tendon to replace. Couple minutes pass by and phở is there. I look at my bowl and see meatballs and ask my boyfriend to switch bowls because I got his. I look at his bowl and there’s meatballs too! Ugh. And no tendon what so ever. I noticed there was like ¾ of flank and saw like one meatball that looks like it was cut into 8th scattered around the phở. And the notorious tripe(which is my absolube favour phở component) turned out to be like 5 tiny strands in the phở as if it was leftover bits on the cutting board back in the kitchen. Sigh. Most likely won’t go again. Makes me kind of sad. Oh well.

Store opened for couple years ago, so everything is looking quite clean. Food is good, quantity not so much. Ordered an iced coffee with condensed milk and a large bowl of phở with round beef on the side, soft tendon and beef ball. The bowl was looking rather big with hot soup filled inch from top. Rare beef on the side plate had about 8 – 9 pieces, ok. The beef ball was cut in almost half(almost two ½ pieces in bowl) and 2 tiny pieces of tendons that just broke in even tinier pieces I could barely even find in the bowl, probably just melted away. When I was almost finished my phở I thought my coffee was to come pre-dripped, but then waitress just forgot. I had to order the coffee and wait for them to make and wait for it to drip. So now I’m just writing this review while I’m waiting for the coffee to drip. Without any phở restaurants competing in this area. Phở century is your only choice to have phở. Seating in booth is kinda tight. Neither table was too low or seats were too high. Overall everything tasted fresh. Restaurant is clean. Food is fair to good. Lots of parking in front. Note: Debit or Cash only

Very satisfied with this place. Food was good and the visual in this place looks great. Very clean as well. Parking isn’t the best.

I tried… I really did try when I went back to this place to have Phở this time. I ordered the house special but later found out that it wasn’t even what I was eating cause I wondered where the flank and other toppings were. They had given me the wrong dish. The soup was watered down tasting and lacked flavor. The only thing I enjoyed was the three bean drink.

Summary: Ok food, horribly poor service. Food: 3⁄5 Raw steak + flank phở tasted fresh. Broth was on the sweeter side — not too salty or oily like some other phở places. Not bad. Generous amount of raw bean sprouts and nice fresh basil. Ambiance/Environment: 4⁄5 Well decorated, clean and comfortable. Didn’t leave smelling like deep fried foods. Service: 0⁄5 Worst service I’ve ever had at a phở restaurant. The main server was a girl who was extremely rude and short tempered. We ordered a salad roll with shrimp — girl confirmed it because she asked if we were ok with ham in it also. Noodles came, then they mistakingly gave us a vegetarian salad roll. Let them know we ordered shrimp one. They took the roll away and just never came back. About 15 minutes later the girl came and said something that sounded like«Do you have a penny?» I didnt quite understand so she repeated herself, still mumbling something unintelligible. I still looked confused, I guess, so she got frustrated. She said«Nevermind» loudly and left, looking extremely pissed. Turns out she was asking us «Did you get your number 20?». How are we supposed to know the salad roll number on the menu was 20??? Why was she so pissed off the entire dinner service? At one point during the dinner we heard her –literally– scream out of anger or frustration. Not a single smile to be had out of this server. Expression was completely sour and angry entire time. Well, I’m so sorry we chose to eat dinner here tonight, we didnt mean to inconvenience you. We’ll make sure to remember never to come bother you with our patronage again.

The place was clean and had nice ambience; but I don’t think their phở noodle was as nice — wish the soup was bit hotter and less sour. It’s still nice to go with a group of friends or family with kids. Parking’s limited but there are plenty of free street parking around the area.

We live close by and used to come here around once a week. We liked the fact that the place is clean and convenient, and the food used to be good and consistent. Last few times we notice the quality dip, and the final straw was when my egg came out burnt(I’ll upload pictures). The fact that it came out of the kitchen like this is ridiculous, but fine I thought, let’s see how they would make it better for me. After getting the attention of the older guy there, he makes a gesture that he’ll be right with me. Not exactly… A few minutes later I waived him down again. But instead of coming over to our table, he stands there about 15 feet away and wants me to shout across a table with another couple. I was pissed at this point so I just motioned him to come over to the table. No apology about how this could have come out of the kitchen like this. Just grunted something and brought out another egg. I realize this isn’t exactly fine dining but I won’t be coming back.

The food at Phở Century’s not bad. I prefer the spicy broths over the plain ones at Phở Century. The spicy dishes have more kick to them and the plain ones are well. just too plain here. The service can use some help as our waiter didn’t seem efficient or friendly. Good thing is that they do take credit card here. That’s a plus.

Vietnamese is like Greek food to me. Safe bets for consistent quality. Most have the same menu items and you generally can’t distinguish one from another. I usually order the same Phở, the spicy one with pork hock(can’t remember #), which only comes in large. The broth is killer with the perfect amount of spice and is packed with great meat bits. I usually opt to add meat balls for an extra $ 1. I’ve also tried Combo F, which is a sampler of their best grilled items and a spring roll. The shrimp paste on sugar cane skewer is memorable. Make sure you suck on the sugar cane for some wicked flavour. The inside is clean and modern. They have around 6 or 7 free parking spots, though a little tight to navigate. Solid neighbourhood Phở.
