There is nothing wrong with the selection available at this store, and I do shop here a lot. However, I think that the older men who work here are condescending.
I purchased paint from here and I needed a specific kind and when I brought it up to the till the older male cashier took the paint from my hand put it back on the shelf and told me I picked up the wrong kind with out even asking me what I was paining. He handed me back a can of white, basic wall paint. This was not what I needed and I think it is very wrong of him to decide he knew better, without even asking me any questions just because I am a younger woman.
Service like this makes me not want to shop here anymore.

Jackpot!
Finally found the metal ice cubes I’ve been looking for — and more to boot too. Didn’t expect to find them in a nice, plastic covered tray with tweezers!
yes, a bit pricey at $ 20, but well worth it for the true road warrior who’s on the road all day, so need those drinks to be un-diluted as much as possible.
It’s a good-size store for the neighbourhood, mostly hardware than kitchen, like their sister one, Homewares, that’s the difference.
Also looked at the rat stuff, on the right shelf, and impressed to find a new product that I’ll have to do some more research on… and to save for another, NEW, review lol.
Good service here, the owner Keith actually does work on site.

Best option on this side of town for your hardware needs. It’s in Burnaby Heights. The employee we dealt with was really helpful and informative. Good to know these guys are here. Just a note though. If you’re looking for this store, Look for the HOME HARDWARE sign. It’s a franchise that USED to be owned by a Robertson.

Living in the area is all the better since finding this store. From cutting new keys, discovering plumbers tape for my new showerhead, to finding the correct weight bearing drywall screws for my ikea wall mounted laundry racks, to the tiny dowelling lining my faulty spice rack and finally today for the kitchen cabinet cupboard door closure brackets. You need it-they’ve got it and can solve your hardware mysteries.
